Goodyear Assurance TripleMax is Motor Trend (China)'s Tire of the Year 2013

During the ‘2013 Tire of the Year Awards’ ceremony organized by Motor Trend magazine, Goodyear’s Assurance TripleMax was named ‘Tire of the Year 2013’ in China. As a relatively new product which only recently arrived in the market, the award is confirmation of the performance and quality of the ATM tires and a testament to the level of positive feedback it has received from the market. This award will help ATM make further gains in the Chinese market as its official badge of entry into Goodyear’s highly acclaimed all-star lineup of products.

Assurance TripleMax is an innovative product custom-tailored and designed for mid to high-end passenger vehicles. It utilizes Goodyear’s latest, globally cutting edge technology – HYDROGRIP Technology® to provide maximum wet grip, maximum control, and maximum braking ability, letting consumers face the challenge of wet roads with confidence and assurance. Aside from its outstanding safety features, Goodyear also addressed consumer needs during the product development process by reinforcing ATM with DuPont™ Kevlar® and 2-ply construction in sidewall area as well as the newest Fuel Saving Technology™, significantly extending maximum tire lifespan and fuel savings.

“When we set out to design the Assurance TripleMax, we wanted to position this product as the superior standard by which all products in the same category are measured by in terms of performance and technology. Our goal is to emphasize and drive all of the advantages of our Assurance family of products to the limit, which is all possible due to the relentless diligence of the Goodyear research and development team,” shared Goodyear China Marketing Vice President Ben Chao who attended the awarding ceremony. “As we all know, it is not easy for a passenger tire to deliver high performance wet braking and reduce rolling resistance to improve fuel savings. Yet when compared with other products, our ATM not only achieved shorter wet road braking distances, but also led two other main competitors in rolling resistance tests. This is a demonstration of Goodyear’s dedication and commitment to the Chinese consumer.”

As a high-value tire that is custom-tailored for owners of mid to high-end vehicles in China, Assurance TripleMax delivers on Goodyear’s more than 100 years of commitment to provide solutions for the market through innovative technology, thereby raising their brand value.

“Assurance TripleMax realized outstanding wet road braking performance and lower rolling resistance at the same time, as well as applied the same material used in bullet-proof vests to make tires, raising both scratch and wear resistance. Its brand new tread pattern design takes comfort into consideration while still guaranteeing safety, making the tire the unquestionable Tire of the Year,” said Moto Trend Magazine Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Ms. Sun Gang.

Goodyear’s Assurance TripleMax will let even more vehicle owners feel safe and relaxed and gain the confidence they need when driving even during the wettest conditions thanks to Maximum Grip for Maximum Assurance.
