Motul is Title Sponsor of 2016 Sepang 12 Hours


The French oil and lubricant specialist, Motul, has signed up to become the title sponsor of the Sepang 12 Hours—the final race of the inaugural edition of the Intercontinental GT Challenge, the premier global GT championship organized and promoted by the SRO Motorsports Group.

To be held at the Sepang International Circuit from December 9 to 11, the entire field will be sporting Motul’s iconic red-and-white colors. At the same time, several top teams will also use the top-of-the-line 300V and Motorsports Line range of products.

Started last year, the Sepang 12 Hours is organized jointly by the SRO Motorsports Group and the Sepang International Circuit. Making the field even more competitive this year, Super GT promoters, GTA, is working with SRO to bring cars from the Super GT GT300 class to Sepang.

Motul, which has over 160 years of history, is one of the leading players in the industry especially when it comes to high-performance racing oils and lubricants. It has pioneered the world’s first fully-synthetic motor oil in 1971 and today, it’s used in a wide variety of motorsports around the world from the 24 Hours of Le Mans to the FIA World Endurance Championship, Super GT, and many more.
