Honda Cars Philippines Introduces New Civic Variant

Honda is once again giving its award-winning Civic an incremental improvement with the introduction of the 1.8 E CVT Navi model. Slated to be a limited edition model, it adds GPS navigation and selected Modulo accessories on top of the already solidly loaded 1.8 E CVT.

The biggest highlight of the Civic 1.8 E CVT Navi is (hint, it’s in the name) the integration of Honda’s 7-inch touchscreen audio-visual navigation system. Apart from GPS-based navigation, this new head unit also adds an HDMI port and MiraCast projection for screen mirroring on top of Bluetooth hands-free and USB inputs.

Aesthetically, the 1.8 E CVT Navi Limited Edition adds Modulo accessories such as a deck lid spoiler and door visors. And for improved cargo functionality, it also features a trunk tray.

Mechanically, the Civic 1.8 E CVT Navi Limited Edition remains unchanged with a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with 141 horsepower and 174 Nm of torque mated to an Earth Dreams CVT.

The new 2017 Honda Civic 1.8 E CVT Navi Limited Edition is now available at all Honda dealerships nationwide in three colors, two of which are new and exclusive to this variant: Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and White Orchid Pearl. The suggested retail price is P 1,133,000 or P 30,000 over the standard Civic 1.8 E CVT.

See this new Civic variant at the upcoming Honda display at the SM Mall of Asia this Thursday, June 8 to Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

    1. A lot better buy than the ridiculously underpowered 1.5L Mazda3

    2. If you look at the features, quality and weight, the Mazda 3 has good value at 998k. The Civic is more than 100k more expensive and just add another 100k and you get the 2.0 Mazda 3 with more equipment and better quality than the Civic RS.

  2. Or buy the entry level Civic, and use the 30k to buy an expensive smartphone, and a mount below your 'line of sight'.

In-car navigation systems are largely obsolete now, thanks to real-time systems like Waze.

And Modulo parts? Really nonsense. In the other models, the cost of the Modulo'd version can buy you the higher trim level in stock form. If these things had real benefit, Honda would have made them standard issue.

  3. Is the Blue metallic exclusive to this model?

  4. Blue Metallic would have been great for RS.
    Thanks Uly.
