Toyota Bids Goodbye to the FJ Cruiser with Final Edition (w/ 7 Photos)

Toyota is sending off the FJ Cruiser with a bang. Announced exclusively for the Japanese market, the FJ Cruiser Final Edition commemorates the end of production for Toyota’s mid-sized 2+2 off-roader.

The FJ Cruiser Final Edition gets a special beige color for its exterior which is then matched on the seat upholstery and center console. Outside, a high-gloss black coating is applied to key areas such as the headlight surround, grille, door handles, and front fog light clusters. The special edition is capped off with special 20-inch wheels and side step boards. This special model goes on sale in Japan on October 16.

Though production of the FJ Cruiser will end, rumors has it that Toyota is considering a smaller version patterned on the FT4-X Concept.

  1. Not going to be missed. Designed for the us market but failed there miserably. Test drove this a couple of years ago very masculine and solidly built but bad ride and a gas guzzler

    2. So you're saying everybody who's bought V6 or V8-powered cars, be it SUVs or sports cars, are uninformed wannabe enthusiasts?

Stop hating if you can't afford one

    3. I have a Camry 3.5Q V6 running on 20" wheels. The fuel consumption is horrible given the terrible traffic we have here in Metro Manila. I can't blame others if they want to try diesel ones for their daily drive.

It's a different story though for a weekend car.

  2. Indeed a gas guzzler. If you have the money to spare for the gas. Go for it, if not then fine.
