Suzuki Philippines Makes Celerio, Alto 800 Safer for 2018

Suzuki Philippines (SPH) upgrades its value-oriented Celerio and Alto 800 for the 2018 model year.

SPH General Manager for Automobile Mr. Shuzo Hoshikura said, “We are delighted to share the upgrades for the Celerio and Alto compact cars. These upgrades are a testament to Suzuki’s commitment to continuously improve its product portfolio and ensure that new and existing customers get the best of the Suzuki Way of Life. We are very happy to be providing more features focused on safety and never short-changing our beloved patrons of their money’s value.”

The 2018 Celerio now has reverse parking sensors which adds to its already stellar maneuverability. It also comes with Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (TECT) which makes effective use of high-tensile steel to achieve a high-rigidity, low-weight body for greater collision safety.

The upgraded Celerio is available in Pearl Snow White, Metallic Star Silver, Metallic Mineral Gray, Pearl Super Black, Pearl Ablaze Red, and Prime Cerulean Blue.

Meanwhile, the 2018 Suzuki Alto 800 STD proves that it may be small in size, but it’s big on safety.

The upgraded Alto is now equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and dual SRS airbags. And like the Celerio, the Alto 800 STD also features Suzuki’s TECT, which improves collision safety.

The upgraded Alto 800 STD is available in: Superior White, Silky Silver Metallic, Brilliant Yellow, Granite Grey, Blazing Red, Prime Mojito Green, and Cerulean Blue.

Best news is that these safety features do not come with a price increase. The Suzuki Alto 800 retails for P 429,000 while the Suzuki Celerio M/T is P 538,000 and the CVT is P 569,000.

Already two of the country’s best value for money cars, both the Celerio and Alto 800 are made easier to own thanks to low downpayment terms until October 31. During this period, the Celerio 1.0 GL M/T can be driven home with just P 58,000 downpayment while the Alto STD can be yours for as low as P 28,000 downpayment.

    1. True. Sana, isunod nila sa ADDA yung safety standard na dapat sundin ng manufacturers bago nila ma-benta sa Pilipinas.

    2. Well, no-one cares about safety options. Look at the Suzuki Jimny - doesn't have airbags or ABS but they still want 800,000p. That vehicle would not be allowed to be sold in a 1st world country. The car manufacturers just dump their 3rd rate rubbish here....how many cars in the 1st world still have rear drum brakes? Answer: NONE.

    3. Jimny is one the favourite vehicles of farmers in the UK as well as EU countries. They are sold with the same equipment as the jimnys here.

  3. I did not notice any up down shift seat adjustment for the upgraded 2018 Celerio. It was mentioned in an Indian MARUTI SUZUKI REVIEW for the upgraded unit.
