Why? The manufacturing of batteries and the source of the electricity used to charge that battery is mostly still from fossil fuels. So, Mazda's decision to not develop EV's yet is quite logical. Give it 20 more years so that renewable energy sources become mainstream, only then EV's and hybrids are really environmental friendly.
