You also did not mention that the ASX has a dial for on-the-fly control of it's AWD system wherein you can switch from 2WD to 4WD and 4WD lock mode. That's a significant advantage since you can turn off AWD during those times (i.e., city driving in good weather) that it is not needed.

Also, you have not mentioned what numerous other reviews of the XV have noted: that the CVT drivetrain is noisy and that the sound is noticeable even inside the cabin in normal driving conditions; that the CVT didn't bring in significant fuel consumption savings because of the full-time AWD drivetrain and no improvements in the 2.0L engine itself; and also, there is no mention if the "design defect" of the boxer engine, wherein it supposedly "drinks" radiator fluid and required periodic topping up of the radiator fluid reservoir, has been addressed.TM from Motioncars.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521223446245210239.post-35641544994000354452012-06-24T17:25:55.990+08:002012-06-24T17:25:55.990+08:00Sorry you got it wrong! the XV has 8 airbags not 6...Sorry you got it wrong! the XV has 8 airbags not 6.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521223446245210239.post-51293107617121151582012-06-22T15:07:02.670+08:002012-06-22T15:07:02.670+08:00The XV is literally a jacked-up 2013 Impreza hatch...The XV is literally a jacked-up 2013 Impreza hatchback (identical bodies), while the roomier ASX has a taller crossover-specific body and longer wheelbase than the Lancer.

-AMAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521223446245210239.post-85028149244755082772012-06-18T21:03:22.575+08:002012-06-18T21:03:22.575+08:00if you dont get the turbo version of subaru, bette...if you dont get the turbo version of subaru, better not get at all since they just drink more gas, and slower than other cars. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521223446245210239.post-13153300819208388132012-06-12T23:31:17.029+08:002012-06-12T23:31:17.029+08:00Haven't compared the XV to the new Impreza sin...Haven't compared the XV to the new Impreza since it's not yet out (coming out in July). However, I can say that the XV is no slouch when it comes to balance and cornering. It has good body control and it's very maneuverable. Because of its smaller size and lighter weight, it actually feels sportier than the Forester. Although the ASX may have the Super Select 4WD you mentioned, you have to remember that it's still carrying the 4WD hardware (higher curb weight).

Given the XV is the much newer car equipped with newer engine and transmission technology, it shouldn't come as a surprise that it will be more fuel efficient than the ASX.Ulysses Anghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06863291552170192774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521223446245210239.post-37449053695050004562012-06-12T22:51:26.774+08:002012-06-12T22:51:26.774+08:00Currently there are no plans to release the Boxer ...Currently there are no plans to release the Boxer diesel in the Philippine market due to the poor quality of our diesel fuel.

Noisy?
