As they have a few dealers only, it might be better for VW Phils. to target the value for money premium segment like what Subaru successfully did.

Instead of pushing entry level cars where they aren't competitive VW can stay in the premium sweet spot of 1.8M - 3M. Then, VW will be a good alternative vs. the Euro brands or the higher models of Japanese brands.

Jaydnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521223446245210239.post-16390111895985430682015-03-03T20:59:00.376+08:002015-03-03T20:59:00.376+08:00I'm not some-kind of economist or a car expert...I'm not some-kind of economist or a car expert but I do wish Volkswagen to become highly competitive and expand to more car segments in the market and add more varieties to choose here in the Philippines, it saddens me to see that they're making compromises in quality and equipment while still being relatively expensive. I wish to see German engineering more reachable to the Filipino masses without compromising quality.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521223446245210239.post-69853474625078140352015-02-25T10:06:25.156+08:002015-02-25T10:06:25.156+08:00If VW is looking into the SEA market they should m...If VW is looking into the SEA market they should move production to thailand to soften import duties. It's priced as much as the Mazda 3 1.5 which is better equipped, larger and more stylish. ACE should have at least made it 100k cheaper, but then it'll compete with the Jazz and Fiesta making it a tough sell.
