Going on this "special" discount sales just cheapens the brand image by giving off vibes that it's not moving enough cars (which is probably true), likewise it turns off the customers who bought the car at the higher price. Potential buyers also wait for these large discounts thereby Motor Image is not selling cars as much as they could.
