Aston Martin has revealed the final production-ready iteration of its first all-electric production car, with the Rapide E making its world debut at China’s Auto Shanghai.

Nissan is on a roll. After revealing the all-new Almera (Versa) sub-compact sedan in the U.S., they did the same with the Sylphy compact sedan at Auto Shanghai. One of the people responsible for this new design direction is Shinichiro Irie, a program design director based at the Nissan Global Design Center.

Admittedly, Volkswagen is late to the SUV game, but expects to catch up fairly quickly. By 2025, they expect that 50 percent of their sales will be an SUV, compared to about 20 percent today. One of the products that will lead this charge is the T-Cross—a new sub-compact crossover that’ll serve as one of the bookends to the VW SUV line-up.

After believing that its Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) was the way to go, Toyota has now shifted gears and is finally launching its first-ever full Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV). The introduction of the carmaker’s first two electric vehicles will pave the way to launch 10 more during the first half of the 2020s.

As we reported a week ago, the Trailblazer is marking a comeback as a new global market for the bowtie brand, but not as a 7-seater pickup-based passenger vehicle (PPV), but as a compact SUV.

Chevrolet confirmed that they will be unveiling two new SUVs at the upcoming Auto Shanghai: the 2020 Trailblazer and 2020 Tracker. The Tracker has a strong chance of making it to the Philippines market, while the situation of the Trailblazer is a bit murky.

MG is set to debut a hotter version of their MG6 compact sedan packing 305 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque at the upcoming Shanghai International Auto Show.

The refreshed EcoSport is inching its way to an ASEAN and quite possibly, a Philippine reveal very soon as Ford showcased their facelifted sub-compact SUV at its Go Further event in Shanghai, China. The EcoSport’s unveil in China marks the first time it’s been shown in Asia-Pacific. It will also be part of the Ford stand in the upcoming Auto Shanghai motor show.

At the Auto Shanghai 2013, Bentley introduces the new Flying Spur to Greater China, alongside the Continental GT Speed, Bentley’s fastest production model ever and its pinnacle flagship model, the ultra-high luxury Mulsanne.  Bentley also announces its plans to grow the dealer network in Greater China, reinforcing China as a key market for Bentley’s continued success as the company heads for double digit growth again in 2013.

Porsche is celebrating the world premiere of the second generation Gran Turismo at the Auto Shanghai show in China. The centerpiece of Porsche’s show appearance is the new Panamera S E-Hybrid, the world’s first plug-in hybrid in the luxury class. Also making their debut together with this new role model of intelligent interconnection of efficiency, sportiness and comfort are two luxurious Executive versions for the Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo which sport an extended wheelbase and a three-litre V6 engine with bi-turbocharging that is a completely new development. Every BMW SAV has been a trailblazer.
