2016 LA Auto Show: The 2017 Honda Civic Si is Not Type-R Crazy, But Still Fast (w/ 18 Photos)


Honda is completing the tenth-generation Civic line-up with the new performance-oriented (but not Type-R) Si. Available in coupe and sedan body styles, the Japanese automaker is first showing it off as a coupe (and in prototype form) at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Mazda is ready to push the compact crossover envelop even further with the unveil of the second-generation CX-5 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. LA Auto Show: 2017 Mazda CX-9 Shows Off Skyactiv Turbo


Mazda is finally bringing its KODO and Skyactiv treatment to the mid-sized crossover category with the introduction of the all-new CX-9 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Tailored for the North American market, Mazda expects to sell 80 percent of its annual CX-9 production there. Sales start in the spring of 2016.

LA Auto Show: 2017 Ford Escape Packs New Engines, Tech


Ford is giving its compact crossover a substantial makeover for the 2017 model year, at least in North America. Launched at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the refreshed Escape packs two new EcoBoost engines as well as new connectivity and creature comfort features.

All-New Mazda CX-3 is the Urbanite's Crossover


Mazda used the Los Angeles Auto Show to unveil a new addition to its Skyactiv-equipped crossover range: the CX-3. The CX-3 will first launch in Japan in 2015 followed by the rest of the world soon thereafter. Mazda believes it will become a core product in their ever-expanding model range.

UPDATED: Subaru to Unveil Legacy Concept at Los Angeles Motor Show



UPDATE: Motor Image Pilipinas, the official distributor of Subaru in the Philippines has revealed that the Philippine-market all-new Legacy will carry a (say it ain't so) 2.5-liter normally aspirated motor. This was confirmed in a dinner with the Subaru Society.

Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the manufacturer of Subaru automobiles, today announced that the "Legacy Concept" will make its world debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show (Press day: November 20 and 21; Open to public from November 22 through December 1, 2013). The concept model hints at the future design direction of Subaru's flagship Legacy model.

Subaru Launches All-New WRX in Los Angeles


Subaru has finally taken the wraps off the hotly-anticipated all-new WRX which made its global debut at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show.

The all-new WRX promises better handling and performance through a brand-new drivetrain headlined by a 2.0-liter direct-injection gasoline engine. Featuring the trademark intercooler turbo (with a hood scoop) and a flat-four layout (Boxer), the all-new WRX pushes out 268 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The all-new WRX also features the model's first-ever 6-speed manual and a new, optional Sport Lineartronic CVT transmission.
