This Subaru is Faster to 100 km/h Than a La Ferrari


What’s faster than the La Ferrari to 100 km/h? Try the new Subaru WRX STI-based VT15x. Developed by Vermont Sportscar to compete in the 2015 Red Rull Global Rallycross series, the VT15x has 580 horsepower from its turbocharged flat-4 enabling it to accelerate to 100 km/h in just two seconds flat. That’s faster than the La Ferrari.

This is What the All-New 2016 Honda Civic Will Look Like


Honda unveiled the all-new Civic Concept at the New York International Auto Show giving the public its first glimpse of what the highly-anticipated tenth-generation model will look like. After being criticized for being lackluster (even after its extensive re-design), the ninth-generation and current model will be saying goodbye this fall (third to fourth quarter 2015) in favor of a model that focuses on ‘spirited performance and class-leading versatility’.

At the New York International Auto Show, Subaru has announced that they are replacing the US-based Subaru Performance Tuning (SPT) in providing aftermarket parts as well as increased engineering presence in the company’s Global RallyCross Team.

UPDATED: Mazda MX-5 Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Special Edition


UPDATE (1): Mazda Philippines has confirmed that it will be releasing a total of 25 of the 1,000 units of the 25th Anniversary Edition for P 1,800,000. (5/11)

Along with the introduction of the next-generation MX-5’s Skyactiv-Chassis, the Mazda MX-5 Miata 25th Anniversary Edition revealed in New York is a special edition model that brings together 25 years’ worth of fun shared with fans.

Based on the power retractable hard top model, and available with either 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions, it is available exclusively in Soul Red Metallic.

Meticulous attention to detail has been paid in every area of the vehicle such as the black-painted roof, A-pillars, and door mirrors; off-white leather upholstery and door trim, hand-finished decorative panel, and the adoption of Bilstein dampers.

No other mechanical changes have been made to the MX-5.

2015 Subaru Outback is Still Basically the Raised Legacy Wagon You Love


It seems reports of Subaru ditching the tall-riding wagon look for the all-new Outback are greatly exaggerated as the company unveiled the fifth-generation model at the New York International Auto Show. Like its predecessors, the all-new Outback is instantly recognizable as a tall-riding Legacy, something that has attracted a fiercely loyal clientele since the first generation launched in 1995.

2015 Subaru WRX STI Goes to Rallycross


Subaru has a long and successful history in the world of rallying and they’re about to right a new chapter using, what else, the all-new 2015 Subaru WRX STI? Using the New York International Auto Show, Subaru has showed off its new Global RallyCross Championship competitor.

Piloted by Bucky Lasek and Sverre Isachsen, Subaru has previewed its new GRC competitor which features a wide body kit with a carbon fiber roof scoop, side mirrors, and rear wing. The wheels are provided by Method. And like all other GRC competitors, the tires are Yokohama. Subaru of America will reveal more details of its GRC competitor in the fall.

Aside from the GRC, Subaru has also announced that the all-new WRX STI will compete in the Rally America Championship with Travis Pastrana and David Higgins driving. That racing WRX STI should arrive later this year.
