This isn’t a full on test drive, but rather a very quick spin in the 2015 Nissan NV350 Urvan. How quick? Think around the block with some hilly roads and some good open stretches. Cutting to the chance, how does it perform? Well, it performs very well. Extremely well. If you’re in the market for a commuter van, that is.

Nissan is continuing to modernize its commercial vehicle offering by unveiling the 2015 NV350 Navara. The fifth-generation van comes from a storied line of Nissan family and cargo haulers dating back to 1973. The all-new model aims to meet the demands of entrepreneurs, shuttle operators, and family users.

UPDATED: Nissan Philippines to Launch NV350 Urvan in June

After retiring the long-serving Frontier pickup truck with the launch of the all-new NP300 Navara, it seems Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) is doing the same with its Urvan. According to a report by The Philippine STAR, NPI will be bringing in the NV350 Urvan in June in a move to drive its sales higher.

Given a fixed length, width and height, the most efficient shape to enclose a space is that of a box.  That's something that appliance designers, modern architects and seasoned travelers know only too well—we don't see too many cylindrical refrigerators or triangular office towers.  Passenger vans have to follow the same rule, so don't expect anything other than a refrigerator on wheels when you go shopping for that 12-seater.
