Porsche Posts Strong Sales Across Asia Pacific
The combination of a high-performance sports car with the comfort of a luxury saloon has resonated well with customers in Asia Pacific in 2017. Over the course of last year, almost 600 second-generation Panamera vehicles were delivered in the Porsche Asia Pacific region, an increase of nearly three times compared to the previous year. The 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman also performed well, recording an increase in sales of 90 percent compared to the year before.

Porsche Pulls Out of Endurance Racing's Top Class; Sets Sights on Formula E
Porsche bids goodbye to the world of top-tier endurance racing as they will be ending their involvement in the LMP1 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship or WEC at the end of this season. That news comes hand-in-hand with the announcement that the storied German sportscar maker shifts its efforts to Formula E. Beginning 2019, Porsche will run a works team in the all-electric series and in fact, they have begun developing their own Formula E racer.

Porsche Posts Best First Quarter Ever in 2017
Porsche has made a strong start to 2017 with around 60,000 vehicles delivered to customers worldwide in the first quarter. This means the sports car manufacturer has exceeded the number of vehicles delivered in the same period in the previous year by around 7 percent and is reflecting on the best first quarter in its history. The drivers of growth were China and the company’s home market of Germany, as well as the Panamera and Macan model lines, which both saw double-digit growth.

Stock Porsche Cayenne Pulls Heaviest Production Aircraft, Sets Guinness World Record
A completely standard Porsche Cayenne has successfully towed an Air France Airbus A380 weighing 285 tons. The Cayenne, driven by Porsche GB technician Richard Payne, towed the aircraft over a distance of 42 meters at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, to set a new Guinness World Records title for Heaviest aircraft pull by a production car, by a margin of 115 tons.

First appearing in 1996, Porsche’s mid-engine Boxster quickly captured the imagination and fancy of performance seekers already aware of the values of the Stuttgart-based supercar maker. The Boxster made an instant connection to an adoring public with its athletic build and a matching visceral performance – not to mention the fact that it afforded an unmistakable sense of freedom as a roadster. Not since the Porsche 550 Spyder of the 1950s had the carmaker primarily envisaged a vehicle sans top. Le Mans Winning Porsche 919 Hybrid on Display at Conrad Hotel Manila & S Maison
Porsche Philippines has brought in the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race champion Porsche 919 Hybrid to Manila specially for the Filipinos. The first leg of the iconic sports car’s tour was held during the recent Porsche Festival 2016 at the SM Mega Fashion Hall in June, where the 919 Hybrid was displayed with the live feed of the race event at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France where Porsche clinched the brand’s 18 victory in front of some of the 263,000 spectators at the 13.629-kilometer track.
