SMC President Appeals for Further Extension for RFID Installation
Given the continued high volume of applications for RFID electronic toll collection stickers, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) president Ramon S. Ang is appealing to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to consider a further extension for motorists of its order to implement 100 percent cashless transactions at all expressways.

You Asked, They Listened: Autosweep to Open More RFID Installation Sites
To cope with the increased number of motorists wanting to avail of free Autosweep RFID stickers before the December 1, 2020 full implementation of cashless toll collection at major expressways, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) said it is putting up 100 additional RFID installation sites, among many other measures, to cater to motorists from both southern and northern Metro Manila and beyond.

BREAKING NEWS: DOTr Pushes Mandatory Cashless Tolls to December 1
Answering the clamor of motorists, who have yet to attach RFID stickers on their vehicles, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has decided to push the start of the mandatory implementation of cashless toll collections on toll roads from November 2, 2020 to December 1, 2020.

New Cars May Come with Pre-Installed RFIDs
Your brand-new car may come fitted with an EasyTrip RFID as soon as it leaves the dealership. That’s the plan according to Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. Attention EasyTrip Tag Users: Switch to RFID ASAP Because Their Customer Service is Crap
Update: EasyTrip finally took action and the problems surrounding my balance transfer has been fixed (8/12).
Take my advice: make the switch to the EasyTrip RFID as soon as you can. With the prior announcement that its battery-powered EasyTrip transponder tags will be phased out by September 30, 2020 (not November 1), NLEX wants everyone to transition to a single form of cashless payment system using its RFID system.
