I Am Legend: The Ford Mustang at 50
Across the exhibition hall a kid runs towards a beige 1964 Ford Mustang on display The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. The kid is barely nine years old, and his knowledge of cars hasn’t reached the level where he’d care about mileage, drivability, or comfort. Yet, there he is, mesmerized by the Mustang—his wide smile, a definite sign of someone who’s found his first and true love. Alongside the kid, Japanese tourists pose for a quick snapshot beside America’s beloved pony car.

This is, by far, one of the most powerful cars I’ve ever come across with. The Ford Mustang is not only a frighteningly potent car (the mere mention of its 420 horsepower V8 was enough to whiten my knuckles), it’s a clear sign that the folks working at Ford Philippines are true car enthusiasts who wanted to bring the iconic muscle car back to the country.

At fifty years old, the Ford Mustang has been everything: the object of fantasies, a movie star, a tuner’s dream, a status symbol—needless to say, it requires no introduction. UPDATED: The 2015 Ford Mustang Roars into the Philippines (w/ Brochure)
UPDATE 1: The full brochure is now available below (4/26).
Two models. Two distinct characters. One car. This is impossible to achieve given a car’s components are shared across a range. But this is no ordinary car. This is a legend. This is an icon. This is the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang. Kicking off its arrival in style, America’s rolling tribute to the love for the open road is available in two variants, one that caters to the muscle car purist and one to the performance junkie. It’s Ford’s way of looking into the future of the pony car without breaking tradition with its storied past. And that will get any car lover’s attention.

Review: 2017 Ford Mustang 2.3 EcoBoost
It’s got to have a V8, right? That’s pretty much the consensus when it comes to muscle cars like the Ford Mustang. And while that adage still holds true for the monied purists, those opting for muscle cars with a smaller cylinder count aren’t exactly left out in the cold now. Case in point is the 2017 Mustang EcoBoost which is an entry-level model in name only. Far and large, it’s a real deal muscle car and not just some poser mobile.

Ford Made a Mistake In Calling Their EV a Mustang
Mustang (noun) meaning a free-roaming horse found in the Western United States. It’s also the first “pony car,” an affordable sports coupe with a long hood and short deck first launched by Ford in 1964. It is the only nameplate in the Blue Oval’s stable to remain in uninterrupted production over five decades or development and revision. This year, Ford management to throw all that legacy away by launching a model that’s the anthesis of everything the Mustang stands for. The biggest crime is that they actually call it a Mustang.
