Toyota Motor Philippines is Considering More Gazoo Racing Offerings

Look at that badge and sear the image into your brain, because you might be seeing more of it pretty soon. At the Philippine launch of the 2020 Supra, Toyota Motor Philippines was adamant in referring to their flagship sportscar not as “Supra” but as “GR Supra.” A glance at the media kit, brochure, and all other marketing material confirms this. So, what gives? Why such emphasis on “GR?”

Light-emitting diodes or LEDs has become the wonderchild of automotive headlight technology. Praised for their more compact size and smaller power draw, they’ve made possible a lot of new lighting applications in today’s cars such as adaptive headlights, sequential signal lights, and auxiliary driving lamps.

At the 2019 Petron Kalayaan Cup 12-hour endurance run held at the Clark International Speedway last June 12, Team Race Form Garage 2233, driving a Mazda MX-5 Global Cup Car, emerged as the overall champion.

Enough of the leaks (both from the Batangas Port and dealers) and race track cameos, the 2020 Supra is finally in Manila and if your urge still hasn’t waned, here’s everything you need to know about Toyota Motor Philippines’s new flagship sportscar.

Last month, we showed you how the refreshed 2019 Navara pickup truck looks like (at least for the European market). Now that it’s on sale there, Nissan has released more details on its new features, one of which could make its way to the Terra SUV.

With all the hype that surrounded the Type-R in recent years, the standard Honda Civic seemed to have gotten lost in all the fanfare. Considering how, before the CR-V ever came along and became its top seller, the Civic was one of Honda’s finest. Admittedly, after growing up on the fifth-generation Civic, the succeeding generations waned in terms of aesthetic appeal, compared to their predecessors. The all-new 2020 Land Rover Defender is said to carryover one unique design cue from the previous-generation model: the availability of different wheelbases. The report, which comes from Autoblog (via Autocar India) says the iconic SUV will be offered in three different sizes.

For a while, Hyundai only offered two kinds of Kona SUVs in the market: one propelled by a typical internal combustion engine, and one that swaps that for a battery electric motor. Now though, the Korean automaker has added a third option and one that bridges the gap between the two: meet the Kona Hybrid.

The Mazda Atenza has Ceased Production

The Mazda Atenza has ceased production. This may seem like shocking news, but for those thinking of getting the recently-launched 2019 Mazda6, don’t worry, because it’s only the nameplate that’ll be disappearing.
