Leaked: Ford Focus PHL Specs and Pricing

Ah sales reps...you just got to love 'em. After we got wind that the all-new Ford Focus is expected to bow in early July (we're keeping the exact date secret, so you'll have to check back once in a while), we just had to keep our neighborhood Ford dealer a call and lo and behold: they're ready to divulge the specs and pricing of Ford's new compact car offering.

From what we gather, the all-new Focus will be initially available in no less than 3 variants.  Although we'd honestly like more details on all the available variants, our source would only reveal what the top-of-the-line Sport model would carry. For starters, the Sport will only be available in both 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback. And in a break from tradition, the 4-door will be slightly cheaper at P 1,100,000 compared to the 5-door's P 1,200,000.

Although the price may seem a tad high especially compared to its perennial rivals like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, Ford has thrown everything including the kitchen sink into the Focus. In fact, it looks like they've ticked very conceivable option available:
  • 2.0-liter Duratec Ti-VCT GDI 4-cylinder with 158 horsepower and 198 Nm of torque
  • 6-speed PowerShift A/T
  • Torque Vectoring Control
  • HID headlamps with auto on/off
  • 18-inch alloy wheels
  • 5-inch integrated display with CD/FM/MP3/USB/Bluetooth hands-free
  • 6-piece Sony speaker system
  • Ford SYNC voice command
  • Dual zone climate control
  • Leather seats
  • 6 airbags
  • Anti-lock brakes, EBD, brake assist, traction control, hill start assist, hill descent control
  • Front and rear parking sensors with Ford Active Park Assist
  • Blind spot information system
  • Smart Key keyless entry with push-button engine start/stop
Given the sheer amount of tech loaded into the Focus, it's clear that it ranks high in the "value for money" category. Of course, we'll confirm all these specs and pricing for you once everything becomes clearer this July. Don't forget to stay tuned for more details, or you can always follow us on Twitter for the latest updates.
