Ford PHL Sales Rise 23% in July; All-New Ranger, Fiesta Drive Demand

Ford Philippines today announced a 23 percent year-over-year increase in July retail sales to 745 units, driven by the all-new Ford Ranger and the continued popularity of the all-new Ford Fiesta.

The class-defining all-new Ranger proved incredibly popular in its first month of sales in the Philippines with sales of 246 units, representing the best-ever sales of the compact pick-up since its introduction in the Philippines in 1999.

“We are encouraged by the demand for the class-defining all-new Ranger. With its impressive combination of capability, smart technology, safety, excellent fuel economy, and comfort, we know that the all-new Ranger will redefine the pick-up truck segment in the Philippines,” said Randy Krieger, president, Ford Group Philippines.

The all-new Ford Fiesta delivered retail sales of 236 units in July, with the five-door Fiesta maintaining its position as the country’s best-selling five-door hatchback through the first seven months of the year.

"We’re starting to see increased demand across our entire range of products, which gives us great momentum and confidence for the remainder of the year,” added Krieger. “With sales and deliveries of the all-new Ranger now underway and with the recent launches of both the all-new Ford Focus on the iconic Ford Mustang sports car, we are really excited for the months ahead.”

Customer deliveries for both the all-new Focus and Mustang will start in September.

In July, Ford Philippines kicked-off the all-new Focus’ “Start it. Share it. Win it.” Campaign designed to engage Filipino consumers with real-life ‘smart-demos’ of two of the all-new Ford Focus’ first-in-segment, smart technologies. The event will culminate in October, when one participant will win an all-new Ford Focus Titanium+.

In order to support the aggressive expansion of its vehicle lineup, Ford will expand its network of authorized dealers this year by adding 12 new dealers for a total of 35 locations across the country.

Ford plans to open new dealerships in Baguio, Bohol, Butuan, Cainta, General Santos, Isabella, Laoag, Makati, Manila Bay, Naga, Tarlac and Zamboanga.
