Land Rover Philippines and Asia to Africa Safari Brought in Peter Allison to Manila

Land Rover Philippines (LRPhils) Motors, Inc. in collaboration with Asia To Africa (A To A) Safaris brought in Peter Allison, a wildlife enthusiast and author of two bestselling books about his experiences working in the African bush – “Whatever You Do, Don’t Run” and “Don’t Look behind You” to Manila.

Peter brims with passion for wilderness areas and the animals within them, and  is always eager to share his knowledge of safaris. At the event, Peter conducted a casual yet informative lecture about African safaris and shared his experiences with Land Rover Defenders during his expeditions.

The idea of collaborating with A To A Safaris was initiated by Marc Soong, Executive Director of LRPhils and the concept was casually discussed during his Africa trip with his wife Loralee last March 2014.

A To A Safaris is a tour operator who specializes in organizing high quality, tailor-made safaris to Africa, and guarantees to provide the best possible safari experiences. They offer a personal touch and specialize in a highly individualized service in various African destinations.

“I had no idea what to expect of Africa. And now, looking back, it is difficult to explain the experience in words. One must do it in one’s lifetime. It is life changing, to say the least,” says Marc Soong.

An African safari has always been an elusive dream for many in Asia, and LRPhils announced and presented an opportunity to join a safari – a once in a lifetime experience to clients and guests during the event.

Land Rover Philippines (LRPhils) Motors Inc. is the official importer-distributor of Land Rover vehicles in the Philippines.

  1. Land rover was well know in many countries up to 50:s and even 60:s before the Japanese and mostly Toyota took over completely. After that Land Rover was seen in some Camel trophy adventure races and the G-wagen is really not very well known globally as it's mostly a military vehicle and later a very expensive SUV. It's strange that Jeep, despite being such an icon, never got passed the fame of WW2 era and never have done any marks on the global market since.
