Safe "Undas" Travels with Petron Lakbay Alalay

Family ties are particularly important to Filipinos, which is why “undas” or the commemoration of All Souls Day is one of the most important holidays of the year. Usually, families travel home to their hometowns or go to the memorial parks to spend the day in remembrance of our dearly departed.

With so many vehicles on the road, oil industry leader Petron Corporation is once again activating the country’s longest-running motorist assistance program, the renowned Petron Lakbay Alalay for this holiday.

Safety reminders are posted along the major thoroughfares, specifically the North Luzon Expressway, the South Luzon Expressway, and Sucat Road in Parañaque City, to help motorists travel safely. The signs consist of safety messages like:
  • Don’t text and drive.
  • Check your brakes.
  • Observe speed limits.
To ensure your car is roadworthy, you can bring it in for a Free Safety Check at participating Petron stations. Using a 38-point checklist, the free service check covers such details as tire pressure, oil and radiator water levels, and brakes inspection. This serves as a gentle reminder that even small details are essential for worry-free driving.

Participating Petron stations at key locations along major tollways and highways offer emergency roadside assistance, including free minor car repairs, first aid, and emergency phone calls. These services are offered in partnership with Bridgestone, Isuzu, Honda, the Philippine Red Cross, and Phil Care. There are free items like snacks and giveaways, courtesy of Magnolia ice cream, Purefoods, San Mig coffee, Magnolia water, Hungry Juan, Pepsi, Polo mint candy, and Clear shampoo.

Of course, Petron Value Card holders have the assurance of 24/7 free towing and roadside assistance, simply by calling +63-2-459-4735. To qualify for free towing, you should have earned a minimum of 10 value points during the previous month.

Petron’s Lakbay Alalay program has been serving Filipino motorists for more than 25 years, and continues to provide new and exciting activities like the free 15-minute massage to relax tired travelers, or additional giveaways from partners to make traveling safe, fun and convenient for everyone.
