With a body and mechanicals largely carried over since its full model change in 2001, it’s a surprise how the Crosswind sells in the numbers that it does. You can chuck it most likely to Isuzu Philippines’s Corporation’s constant stream of updates which sees the venerable and immortal people carrier get annual cosmetic or equipment changes. And here’s the 2015 update which not only sees more cosmetic alterations but also introduces a new logo as well as a new marketing tagline.
Isuzu says that the Crosswind is a dual purpose vehicle that caters to a very specific market: those who need a family car throughout the week and the occasional cargo carrier during the weekends. And for that, the company says, they’ve found the perfect balance. So why change if it isn’t broken?
“Form and functionality is what the 2015 Isuzu Crosswind is all about. Given that the Crosswind model is proven capable to stylishly carry not just members of the family but also serve as a reliable cargo carrier for the enterprising few,” says IPC President Nobuo Izumina. “But Isuzu believes in continuously improving its products, so we have decided to give it an upgrade and keep it up to the existing market trends to make our customers’ everyday drive more special.”
So what has changed for 2015?
Well, the changes are largely in the front-end where the Crosswind gets revamped headlights with swoopy silver highlights that tie it to the new one-piece bumper. The built-in overrider reads out ‘Crosswind’ at the bottom with the model’s new Arial Black-like font face (it’s more powerful Isuzu says). Together with the new bumper, the grille swaps out the old chrome number for a brushed silver one with a five-hold opening tying the Crosswind with the rest of the Isuzu family. Other changes include a new alloy wheel design (still 15 inches), an all-black aluminum step board, roof rails, and a hard-type spare tire cover.
Inside, it comes with the usual array of entertainment features like a single in-dash player that accepts everything from CDs to DVDs to MP3s. It even has a USB input function for external players. The entertainment system also acts as the monitor for the reverse parking camera which is located in the rear spoiler.
Mechanically, the Crosswind remains a carryover with its old 2.5-liter 4-cylinder direct-injection turbo diesel engine rocking 85 horsepower mated to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. All variants pass Euro-II emissions standard. Underneath, it carries on with independent Double Wishbones upfront and semi-elliptic leaf springs at the back.
This year, the XUV variant also returns. Now available with an automatic transmission, the XUV is what Isuzu calls “the most affordable diesel-powered automatic AUV in the Philippine market.”
All of these changes prompted Isuzu to also introduce a new marketing tagline for the 2015 Crosswind: “Makes Your Everyday”.
Finally, Isuzu is introducing two new colors for 2015: Hunter Green and Dark Silver. These two new shades go with Crosswind’s existing colors namely, Cosmic Black, Garnet Red, Ash Beige, and Splash White. The 2015 Crosswind is available in the following variants:
- Crosswind XS M/T – P 750,000
- Crosswind XL M/T – P 794,000
- Crosswind XT M/T – P 883,000
- Crosswind XUV A/T – P 1,010,000
- Crosswind Sportivo X A/T – P 1,195,000
Come on Isuzu. Just let the Crosswind die already. Kung sa tao pa, terminal na ito, bunutin niyo na ang life support. It did its time already, it should now be put to rest.

Malamang meron, at yun ay ang mga ugaling squatter, fleet operators, mga taga bukid, mga baduy at lastly, mga OFWs. Kayo lang naman ang dahilan kung bakit buhay pa itong Crosswind hanggang ngayon. Its 2015 guys, please just stop patronizing Isuzu.

Basta mag ingat lang naman sa pagmamaneho no? Bahala na outdated ang crumple zones at walang ABS, EBD or kahit isa man lang na airbag. Mabagal naman magmaneho diba? Yun lang nga kapag iba ang bumangga sa iyo, pasensyahan na lang.

Salamat na din sa mga pahapyaw na information na nasasabi mo tungkol sa sasakyan na ito na marahil ay hindi alam ng mga bumibili nito. Pero sana naman ay huwag mo naman laitin ang pagpili nila sa sasakyan na ito kasi mas malamang na wala din silang gaanong nalalaman sa pagpili ng tamang sasakyan, o di naman kaya'y mayroon talaga silang paggagamitan sa ganitong uri ng sasakyan kagaya ng pagnenegosyo. Nasabi mo nga na madalas OFW ang bumibili nito. I agree that this type of vehicle is way overpriced. Yes people are still buying the Crosswind, but that is NOT a reason for Isuzu to continue selling it at its current old form. Isuzu MUST upgrade with safety features and better engine while retaining its being reliable and toughness. A new body design would be nice.

DeleteI've been driving around with a Crosswind for more than a year now. No offense but I've driven a toyota and mitsubishi. all I can say is Isuzu Crosswind is one tough vehicle! Except for time change items, it's almost zero defect in performance. Think I might upgrade to the new MUX but will retain my Crosswind!

DeleteI don't know what you have against Isuzu and the Crosswind or why you are so angry. It's just a vehicle man. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you prefer those "pretty boy" vehicles that look flashy and go fast but aren't durable or reliable at all, go for it. Whatever floats your boat. We have a Crosswind for the same reason Crosswinds have been in the market all these years. It is DURABLE. I have traversed flooded streets where the water flowed like waves over the hood and my Crosswind didn't even stall. It is RELIABLE. I have never had engine trouble and it's parts are tough. It's COST EFFICIENT. I've driven to Laguna and back with only Php 500 worth of gas and still had so much left in the tank. I have driven to Pangasinan and back with less than a full tank of gas. True, at first glance the Crosswind is a bit pricey for its simplicity, but in the long run you'll see that it pays for itself. Aside from the benefits I mentioned above, the SERVICE CENTERS OF ISUZU ARE THE BEST. The service representatives are experts with Isuzu vehicles. They treat each owner with the utmost hospitality. Plus they do not over charge you. If your parts are still good, they won't force you to replace them.

DeleteThis 2015 model looks like its predecessor. No safety features like airbags and abs. Engines nowadays are Euro 4 compliant but the engine of Crosswind is only Euro 2 compliant. I appeal to our buyers not to patronize this kind of Euro 2 compliant engine beacause it emits more CO2 to our environment which contributes to global warming. Just buy Euro 4 compliant engines like Isuzu Mu-x if you love Isuzu as well as our mother earth.

DeleteJust like before though, the Sportivo and the XUV models have slightly higher ride height (raised suspension) compared to the XL and XT variants.
As for seating, the Sportivo has front-facing seats for all three rows while the XUV, XT, and XS, and XL all have a side-facing third row.
Sir Uly, how is the ground clearance cpmpared to its main competitors? Also, is it higher than the Montero's? I get confused by this a lot. Thanks :)

ReplyDeleteSeeing as how car manufacturers see that Filipino buyers are contented with subpar vehicles and low safety standards, they would not bother bringing decent cars here in the Philippines. As long as may bumibili pa din ng mga crosswinds and adventures, hindi uunlad ang automotive market natin. Kaya mali yung kasabihan na "pabayaan niyo na kung anong gusto nila, pera naman nila." Kung ipagpapatuloy natin ang paguugaling ito, walang patutunguhan ang development ng car market.

Maganda may new engine, new and more safe body, may airbags and all the modern safety features. Yun lang naman eh. Luma na talaga ang crosswind, parang sa atin na lang at sa ibang bansa (Indonesia ata??) may binebentang ganito.
Deleteto all the guys here I am a crosswind owner, pang everyday ko na car, I'm not a magsasaka or squatter fleet owner or anything else, practical lang ako, totoo yun sinabi mo hinde masyado safe crosswind pero when i purchased it in 2006 mahal pa ang may mga airbags or other features. pero i disagree sa mausok, proper maintenance lang kailangan. nalubog yung crosswind ko ang gastos ko to restore it nasa 25k max na yun, yung innova ng byenan ko nasa 150k naubos nya kasi may computer box. lahat ng crdi na engine may computer box na kaya mahal din maintain. I also agree to kill or upgrade man lang sana with safety features ang crosswind kasi ako unang bibili, very reliable crosswind ko, sana lang bago ka manlait ng tao isipin mo muna sasabihin mo.

ReplyDeletemy first car was isuzu crosswind pamana pa ito sakin ng tatay ko, nagsimula rin ako sa maliit na negosyo pasubcon subcon sa mga construction. very reliable car hindi ako tinirik at nasiraan sa daan. ngayon medjo lumaki na ang construction firm ko at malaki ang utang na loob ko dito sa crosswind ko, ngayon i own a lexus, montero sport, tucson, pero crosswind ang ginagamit ng mga tao ko para umikot sa mga site. kung wala itong crosswind malamang wala ako sa kinatatayuan ko ngayon.

Deletebumili ako ng crosswind xt last year sa isuzu gencars sa makati at byenahe ko ito papuntang davao city 4200 pesos lang nagastos ko sa diesel at pagdating ko sa bahay nasa 3/4 pa fuel gauge ko i prefer crosswind kasi di masyadong complicated ang makina whereas sa mga crdi engines casa lang talaga ang pupuntahan mo sa crosswind ko kahit sa mga gasoline station lang ako nag pa PMS ayos na at halos lahat ng mekaniko alam ang sestema ng makinang ito prefer ko kasi ang maaasahan at serbesyong pangmatagalan...........

DeleteI DROVE MY ISUZU IN A VERY REMOTE PROVINCE IN MINDANAO ACTUALLY IT HAD DEFECTS BUT IT NEVER STALLED ON THE WAY. IT LASTED TILL I DROVE BACK HOME SAFELY. THAT IS A VERY RELIABLE PROOF THAT ISUZU IS VERY DURABLE. BUT IF I DROVE OTHER BRAND OF CAR AT THAT TIME, I BELIEVE THEY WON'T MAKE IT LIKE ISUZU. CERTAINLY, I WOULD BE LEFT BESIDE THE ROAD.

DeleteAn isuzu crosswind is a lot like a nokia 3310. It's old, unattractive, unrefined, lacking a lot of new tech but it can take a lot of abuse and gets the job done. Personally, I think the people who purchased the crosswind has "practicality" written all over their brains. Nevermind their dignity, they have to prioritize being practical first before anything else! Yes, that also means sacrificing a lot of safety features for practicality. In the end, you'd ask yourself, did I really do the practical thing when choosing this old, unsafe, and unrefined piece of crud?

ReplyDeleteMga Parekoy, pagpasensyahan na natin ung mga nanlalait sa mga crosswind natin. May punto din sila. Ako 2 times na akong nag-upgrade ng crosswind sportivo kasi type ko talaga ung porma. Parang Nokia dati, upgrade lng palagi pero nokia parin diba? Kaso nitong huling 3 years, narealize ko na ung presyo ng sportivo ay magkalapit lng ng Ford Everest 2.5 XLT 4X2 M/T base model. P90k lang ung difference pero may dual airbags, 141 hp vs 86 hp ng sportivo, 16 valve vs 8 valve, may VGT vs wala, at ung pinaka da-best,,, SUV sya Parekoy vs AUV. So nag shift ako sa Everest 3 years ago. Sumunod naman ung 7 barkadas ko. Ung crosswind namin pinabigay namin sa mga in-laws namin. Natuwa sila at nakasasakyan din sila diba? Ung napakasakit sa lahat mga Parekoy ay ung napamahal na sa amin ang pangalang crosswind pero ung napakasaklap sa lahat ay ung presyo ng isuzu na marami nang naloko.

Ang FACELIFT ba development? Ung makina eh JURRASIC ERA pa. Nakakahiya kasi halatang nagpapayaman ang isuzu at marami na itong naloko... kasama na ako.

But no way they're going to do that, unless theyre' prepared to lose a chunk of their customers who happen to be taxi operators I have nothing personal against Isuzu's defenders, but these are the guys who advise car shoppers to choose a Crosswind over an Innova, or an Adventure over a Fortuner, all for the sake of "practicality." But the so-called savings you get is nothing compared to the danger you and your family or commuters get into whenever you ride one. To add insult to injury, while endangering your lives, you make Isuzu -- and Mitsubushi -- even fatter and richer. Isuzu should just stick to building commercial vans.

ReplyDeleteAanhin mo yung mataas ang PS? nasa pinas ka po hnd na kailangan na mibilis ang sasakyan una ang mga daan roads highway ay masikip. mag normal lang ang takbo mo 100kph ok na yun. di tulad dito sa ibang bansa normal nila 120kph to 160kph kasi service road nila parang national highway lang dyan. at kung sa torque performance naman ang isuzu xwind ok sya kumpara sa ibang auv.

ReplyDeleteI have a 2010 Crosswind XUV AT. Never ako nagka problema long distance or city ride. Sa traffic kahit naka stand still malamig pa din ang aircon. Leg at headroom sobrang luwag kahit sa second row. Seats at the third nakatupi sa akin for my things kaya sobrang luwag. Im into surfing and big bikes. Madalas ako sa north when surfing kaya madalas ko nababyahe Crosswind ko. Recently I bought a motorcycle trailer for my big bike 1600cc and walang problema sa paghatak. Hindi man lang hirap ang Crosswind. Sa expressway doon mo feel na makupad ang Crosswind 100-110kph. But that speed for me is enough. Pero kaya nya 130kph. 140kph kapag turbo diesel ginamit mo. Crosswind hindi maganda sa kurbahan, need mo talaga mag menor. Pero bakit ka naman magmamabilis sa curves eh hindi mo kita lahat. Mamaya may bumulaga sa iyo na nakatirik na truck o patawid na pedestrian. Sa itsura naman nagagandahan ako sa Crosswind kasi hindi sya loud. Beauty is subjective. Aanuhin mo itsura kung mayat maya nasa talyer ka naman. Crosswind hindi mausok kung marunong ka mag alaga. Lahat ng cars may tendency mag usok kung hindi ka marunong mag alaga under the hood. In my opinion pagdating sa diesel engines walang nakakalapit sa Isuzu. Sa price naman reasonable tingin ko sa 1.130M to 1.195M, Sportivo X MT, AT. Bare kasi, meaning hindi puro abubot binayaran mo like cupholders, entertainment system, etc. Makina pa lang ng Isuzu panalo ka na. Observe nyo mga jeep pampasahero sa Pinas most likely naka Isuzu engines yan. All day walang patayan makina nila kahit nagla lunch tsuper hindi na pinapatay mga engines nila. Visit kayo one Sunday sa QC Circle doon madalas meet up ng Isuzu cars enthusiasts. May group sila pero hindi ako member. Point ko lang, madaming deds din sa Isuzu Crosswind/Sportivo. Respect one another. One more thing, sobrang tipid konsumo ng Crosswind hindi mo na maaalala kung when last visit mo sa gas station. Cant say the same with a sedan with gasoline engine. Una, we are considering chevrolet spin but sobrang maraming issues, ikalawa honda mobilio pero ngayon nagpoproblema sila ngayong tiguwan at baha, at dito sa cebu aabut na ng 1m ang presyo sa Mobilio Rs. ReplyDeleteProud owner kami ng isuzu crosswind XT(WINDY) halagang 750k na tumagal sa amin ng 12years from 2002 to 2014 na nabenta pa namin si WINDY ng 220k, dahil panahon na para bumili ng bago. Bumili kami ng sportivo(TOVY) last dec 2014 lang halanga 1.06million, wala kaming masabi sa performace TOVY masayang masaya kami at kontento na. Kaya 120kph sa expressway ok na kami doon. Matipid talaga sa diesel at maintenance pati sa lowang sa loob ay ok ok na hindi naman siya kalakihan sa labas. Sakto sa makipot naming daan at maliit na parking space. Kaso nitong aug 2015 lang naisipan naming umuwi sa leyte para magbakasyon. Sa diinaasahang pangyayari pauwi na sana ng maynila ay nakaiglip ang kuya ko at bumangga kami sa puno ng buko. Me sa panaginip ay hindi namin inasahang mangyayari ang ganoon lahat kami at sugatan dahil sa pagtama siguro sa loob ng sasakyan ang masaklap ay pagkamatay ng tiya ko sa pagtama sa radyo sa harap ng sasakyan naubusan siya ng dugo sa malaking sugat sa mukha niya. Doon lang pumasok sa isipan namin na kung may airbag lang sana hindi o kaya nabawasan nasa ang natamo naming pinsala. Umabot din ng 1.2million ang bill sa ospital at st.peter pagpapalibing tiya ko. Ngayon natatakot na kami sa mga walang airbag na sasakyan. MU-X siguro ang magandang kapalit na sasakyan pero sa laki naman nito mahihirapan siguro kami sa daan sa amin hanggang sa parking lot namin. Ang hiling lang sana namin magkaroon ng airbag ang crosswind dahil sya parin sana ang best choice sa amin.
I am planning to buy 7 seaters now but according sa research ko crosswind (XL)parin and lumamang being a diesel engine with low cost fuel consumption and high ground clearance compared to competitors. This will be used by my wife sana at ang mga abobot nya daily. I like Ertiga AT (para matutong syang magdrive) but mababa ground clearance nya and have shorter life span daw kasi X2 ang rpm nya (gasoline engines) compared to diesel engines. Before i dont like crosswind kasi I can easily overtake it with my triton but now i have no choice but to choose this durable and good resale value vehicle.

ReplyDeletewhen crosswind came out as the new iteration of Isuzu hi-lander I was very much impressed with its improvement over the hi-lander and while at that time its power plant was par or even better than the competition so that it was a choice for me between the adventure top of the line and the xt at that time. the deal breaker was when I came upon a site in the net that the venerable crosswind was marketed in india as the Laverda an agemate of the Toyota fx kijang featuring them side by side so that is how many decades ago was the first fx rolled on our streets . The Laverda must have been older than the fx I surmise but credit to where credit is due to Isuzu for such market staying power but then I would suppose that they give concern and priority to add safety features is in order after all their return on investments have already exceeded whatever cosmetic upgrade cost there was. Time to channel profit to safety features would be one way of returning gratitude to Isuzu believers.

I bought these 3 cars both for personal and business use. Let me tell you why I have not sold my Sportivo.
In 2009 my Sportivo was put to the test due to typhoon Ondoy. I had to pick up my wife becuase work was suspended. I had no other way but to pass Makati Pasong Tamo which was waist deep at that time. When I reached the deepest part of the flood (where my headlight was already half submerged) my engine stopped. Emergency alarm and notifications turned on. I was silent for about five seconds thingking that I'm screwed. I took a deep breath and tried to start the car again. With no difficulty of any kind, the engine started back up. Rev'ed it for a few seconds and proceeded on my way. The only problem was that I had no power supply going to the headlights and other accessories. They went back to normal the next day though....Now tell me, how can I ever not like this car when I went through that with it?
The downside of this car is that its prehestoric. The good thing about this car, well, its becuase its prehostoric.
The engine and its system are so basic that it could be likened to an airconditioned jeepney you will find in makati. But the thing is that its so basic that it does not need anything to run but a power supply to start it and fuel to keep it running. I can change the filters myself and i can change the oil myself. The Montero and the Navara on the otherhand is so complicated you can't even change the oil yourself. Their system is designed for the user to have the utmost comfort, convenience, power and safey... well given that the engine is running....
I use the Montero more often than the Sportivo. But even so, if there's one car which I will be taking out of the garage for a trade in later on, that will be the Montero.
The Sportivo is a life time car. Its one of those cars that you keep in your garage until your grandchildren sees them. No matter how much you try to sugar coat it, cars are designed for one thing - a mode of transportation. Something which the sportivo can give you with utmost reliability compared to its newer competitors. And I believe that is the reason why people still buy this prehestoric car. It lives up to Isuzu's reputation of reliability.
Now tell me you guys out there who commented negatively about this car, are you not aware or even atleast considered this fact? Haven't you heard about the Mercedes Benz G-Class? Started production in 1972 and still is in production until now? The only vehicle that has been to Everest and back alive. Since then, MB vowed not to cut this line. Something which is very similar to the Sportivo.
There was even this story I read in one car magazine where the author lived in Marikina and all cars in their neighborhood was submerged to flood due to ondoy. When the typphoon was passed, the cars in that neighborhood did not start except for a Crosswind owned by his neighbor who even helped some of them tow their vehicles to auto shops for repair. But same with my car, his accessories did not work for some time.

i have a 2007 crosswind xti, every 5,000 kilometer ay laging change oil, at laging on time ang periodic maintenance, pero nagtataka ako sa kanya, after 5 years ay naging mausok na sya talaga.

pina-calibrate ko rin ang crosswind, then change everything na nakasaad sa periodic maintenance. pinabaklas ko din ang kahabaan ng tambutso para malinis ang loob ng tambutso, im thinking na baka yung mga nakadikit na carbon sa loob ng tambutso ang natatangay ng usok. then i proceed to emission test. pasado! ang ganda ng resulta.
pero after a month, usok na naman. which I think is common na talaga sa mga diesel engine tulad ng crosswind. so I agree to the comments na talagang dapat ng palitan ang engine ng crosswind.
for the looks, body, comfort, ok sya sa akin for his price.
at all power naman ang xti variant.
hindi naman ako maluho sa sasakyan pero maalaga ako sa maintenance. ganon pa man, nanghihinayang pa rin ako dahil masyado talaga syang mausok to think na strict ako sa periodic maintenance at sobra pa nga doon ang ginagawa ko.
Normal sa diesel ang maging mausok lalo na itong crosswind kahit adventure, innova hinaharang ng mga buwayang ASBU (Anti Smoke Belching Unit). Try to decarbonize regularly tska alaga lang dapat sa change oil at change ng fuel filter subok ka ng ibang brand aside from VIC like Bosch, Baldwin, Fleetguard etc. I have a 2003 model di siya mausok unlike dun sa ibang nakikita kong newer models probably napabayaan, also consider mo din ang diesel na kinakarga mo baka kasi may halong tubig.

Bumoto na ba kayo ng kandedato hindi dahil sikat siya o kilala? O sa simpleng bagay na lang tulad ng pag-comment ng matino sa mga websites?
Kung ano tayo nag-reflect lang yan sa mga pinakikita ng bawa't isa satin.
Kung bumili ba ako ng Ford Mustang V8 (at wag kang mag-tanong kung may pambili ako dahil baka mapahiya ka lang) ikauunlad ba yun ng Pilipinas? Di mo ba naisip na mas malaking polusyon ang maiaambag ko sa mundo kapag yun ang sasakyan ko dahil mas malakas ang kunsumo nun sa gasolina? Wag po sana puro yabang, tanungin mo muna sarili mo kung nakatulong ka ba bilang Pilipino sa bansa mo, o isa ka sa mga patapon na pahirap sa ibang tao.
so far Isuzu still did not updated the engine of their car and yes it kinda sucs but compared to adventure they are exactly the same thing no other engine option or any new styles but do keep in mind that they are mpv's or auv's for some reason why others refer to the crosswind is because it is reliable and importantly easy to maintain for me I can stick to the crosswind for its cheap price but I'm more comfortable to the Toyota innova due to ride and it's style plus more engine options
ReplyDeleteMy cousin owns a Sportivo and it’s like more than an “estimate” of six years na sa kanya, and yet we cannot deny its reliability and sturdiness. And oh, you cannot ignore the fact that its fuel consumption is excellent. Proper maintenance lang talaga ng sasakyan. She never had any problems with it kahit saan namin dalhin. And yes, ano naman kung usually OFW or Seaman ang bumibili? To think naman na yan ang gusto nila sasakyan at pera nila ang pinam-bili jan.
ReplyDeleteI think if you have any complaints, mag-reklamo ka sa GOVERNMENT AGENCY(IES) na nagre-regulate ng manufacturing ng sasakyan or whatever you call it! Nahiya naman yung mga tao na todo trabaho para gumanda buhay ng family nila. Kung tutuusin, minsan malaki pa sweldo nang mga taong yan pero kung Crosswind man o pagong man bilhin nila, I don’t think it’s anyone’s business lalo na kung wala naman UTANG sayo. :)

MUX owner ako, tinignan ko isuzu crosswind sportivo and to be honest medyo old school na. Napag iwanan na ng panahon. Almost 200k na lang idadagdag makakabili ka na ng medyo high end na.
ReplyDeleted best ang ISUZU di kci alam ng iba na ang mga engine ng isuzu ay walang TIMING BELT kundi GEAR BELT sa madaling salita GRANAHE ang mga isuzu di tulad ng iba na Timing belt, na pwdeng maputol or it means di ka mapapatiran ng belt kahit 150 km na ang odo mo dhil ang isuzu ay gear or granahe at di belt, not like sa adventure or innova my chance ka n maputulan ng belt pg nsa highway ka, lalo na kung di ka mgpapalit ng timing belt when u reach 80km sa odometer

ReplyDeleteang sportivo ko ay nabili ko nong sep 2011 at P1.41M dahil na avail ko ang discount na una ay 25k at nanagdagan pa ng 30k, dito ako natotong magmaniho ng 4wls after having an mc, nasa 105T km na ang odometer na aking sportivo, sa aking monitor ang average kpl niya ay nasa 13.45, sa highway aabot ng 16kpl ngunit sa city 9-10kpl, mag change oil ako every 5,000 km at ang recent cost ko ay P1,674 lang including the oil filter, it only took me 1hr n 50 min to 1hr n 10min to travel the 125 km distance na inuuwian ko at sa price ng diesel dito ang bck n frt cost ko ay only P420.00, maliban sa mga bagong Fortuner V at Titanium Everest, lahat kaya ma overtake ng aking sportivo dahil aabot din naman ng 130kph, at kabisado ko ang daan, last wk ko pa lang nag e bago yong front tyres, 1 lang and binili ko dahil hindi ko pa nagamit yong spare tyre, sa tingin ng iba 1 or 2 year lang yong sasakyan, choice ko ang vehicle, na e cross ko na rin ito sa flooded highway na about sa 60 meters width, nawala yong ilaw sa gitna nong flooded area dahil malalim at nalubog ang headlight, pero sa awa ng Diyos at tapang ang engine tuloy ang aming biyahe, ang ibang vehicle hinihintay pang humupa ang flood, i love my sportivo dahil reliable siya

Im type of Guy, gusto ko yung gamit e tumatagal. D yung after 5 years e benta dahil butas yung bulsa sa maintenance.
Pre- yung 7 seater at budget of 900k was Honda Mobillo, or Susuki Ertiga (kaya lng masikip nasa likod).

ReplyDeleteI got a 2004 Isuzu Highlander Crosswind (this is how it was called after the complete model change from the old Isuzu Highlander) which until now I still use. No matter what negative comments they say against Crosswind, I will still choose this car. I am now here in a remote area in Mindanao and still brought the Crosswind way from Pampanga. Imagine that. This car now has over 500K in its belt for mileage but never say die for my crosswind. I just made some fine tuning with its engine, religiously following the 5K km oil change interval and this car still grunts. Of course diesel engines blow off smoke even fitted with those fancy stuffs like CRDi, VGT or any other diesel engine boo-boos. A diesel engine is still a diesel engine. But the proven and tested 4JA1 and 4JA1-Turbo has no pretensions compared to newer diesel engines in the competition. Tough yet so easy to maintain. Mine is a living proof that proper maintenance can rid your diesel engine off smoke emission.
ReplyDeleteLast August 2016 from Pagadian we went to Davao via Cotabato-Gensan and tried to race with the HiAce UV Express plying the area and believe me two D4D hi-aces are trailing me. Of course I am no match against the two of them but my Crosswind gave them a hard time to pass me by given its 12 year age.
For those who hate the Crosswind, hate it all you want, but for all who owned this car sure thing they will cherish this car until R.I.P (Rust In Pieces). Against all the other brands in the same category- Toyota Revo or Innova, Mitsubishi Adventure... the Isuzu Crosswind has the last Laugh. Long live the Legendary Isuzu Crosswind.

ReplyDeleteyou can try pagadian car clinic at banale. or those talyer beside rvp shell station also in banale. i had my crosswind tuned there. they're acomodating. just don't go there first thing in the morning because they hold first some kind of christian fellowship in their shop before starting to entertain their customers.

ReplyDeleteguys i have an adventure super sport and crosswind xt also...i find crosswind dependable durable and fuel efficient...oo maingay ang makina ng isuzu kasi chain ang gamit which is mas matagal xa masira unlike the adventure which uses belt type kaya tahimik pero pag naputol gastos! at me certain mileage to replace the belt so mas maganda ang chain para s akin mas matagal mo xa magagamit bago mapalitan.bakit ko nasabi? kasi i have driven crosswind frm mla to dumaguete and back wala aq naging problema sa knya..mabilis at stable xa plus handling maganda base s experience ko at take note... inakyat q p sa bituka ng manok sa quezon swabe ang takbo at walang stress..puno p kami nun!

Good day, I'm planning to buy isuzu crosswind xt 2017 model this month, diba parang mas mahal sya sa presyong 936k plus 30k sa additional features nya na reverse camera? napapaisip ko kung mag shift nalang sa toyota innova j dsl variant, naka euro 4 engine na at completo pa sa safety features, please help me decide, gagamitin ko din sana yung unit for uber and grab. Nakapag bigay na ako ng reservation sa isuzu pero sa mga nababasa ko dito nag dadalawang isip na ako, parang gusto ko nalang mag innova.

ReplyDeleteI owned a 1998 highlander SLX (19 years old) and 2002 XTO (15 years old) crosswind. They are all running. Both have never been engine overhauled or fuel injections calibrated. Done body repairs and repainting. Renewed electrical wiring, changed all shock absorbers, rubber bushings, all tie rods, center post, upper and lower ball joints, center links assemblies. I only changed my engine oil once a year (every December), I just maintained the oil level. Changed clutch disc linings, pressure plates, primary and secondary clutch assembly, brake linings, speedometer cables, batteries and other usual disposables. I passed all the smoke emission tests prior to registration renewals. No engine overheating. 13 kms/litter average fuel consumption. Excellent dual air-con and can accommodate 11 persons including the driver. I will continue using all my old reliable isuzu vehicles as long as they are all serviceable till kingdom come.

I have AT model 2014 Sportivo X Crosswind. We use for long distance trips every 6 months, tipid sa konsumo ng diesel. Our Crosswind car serves its purpose, very durable sa byahe.

Pasyalan mo mga service center ng sasakyan para malaman mo anong mga brand ng sasakyan na kabagobago ay palit agad pang ilalim.Naka electric steering ang iba pero ilan taon palang palit n buong steering rack assy dahil di pwede irepair. Ganda rin bagong automatic transmission ngayon di mo ramdaman pag nagshift wag lang sana masira kc palit buong assembly. Ang ibang modelong sasakyan saksakan taas ng pyesa dahil hirap hanapin kahit s banawe. Yan siguro isang dahilan kaya
