MIAS 2015: 2 Series Active Tourer Takes Centerstage for BMW

An experience beyond the ordinary awaits families as BMW today announces the public debut of its first multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS). Through its official importer and distributor in the Philippines, Asian Carmakers Corporation (ACC), BMW will feature the first ever BMW 2 Series Active Tourer from April 9-12 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.

“This year’s Manila International Auto Show will be an adventure like no other for automotive enthusiasts and children alike. BMW is not only welcoming the newest member of the BMW family, we are also bringing the thrill of the great outdoors to the country’s most visited annual automotive exhibition,” says ACC President Maricar Parco.

During the 4-day festivity, BMW fans and the general motoring public can look forward to an exclusive preview of the brand’s most recent automotive innovation along with the best of the premium BMW Lifestyle merchandise.

“We are very excited to show how remarkably versatile and functional the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer can be with an interactive display that families can enjoy. This forms part of our mission to inspire people to rediscover the joy in taking life beyond their comfort zone,” Parco adds.

Designed to become the perfect companion for the family who is always on the go, the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer packs the everyday usability of a MPV with the classic BMW styling and driving dynamics. The vehicle also represents new innovations never before seen in the BMW portfolio including a specially designed front-wheel drive system and a lightweight 3-cylinder petrol engine with BMW’s award-winning TwinPower Turbo technology.
