Suzuki Philippines Reveals Celerio Pricing, Launch Slated on August 5
Touted before as the fashionable supermini, Suzuki Philippines is giving its Celerio a full on model change for 2015. This time, they call it the A+ Compact. Meet the 2015 Suzuki Celerio. And although the official launch is slated for the first week of August, they’ve revealed the final pricing as well as an available perk, if you decide to get a unit as in now.
Although details are still scarce, Suzuki did mention that the all-new Celerio will pack the K10B three-cylinder engine putting out 67 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 90 Nm at 3,500 rpm. It will also be available with two transmission options: a 5-speed manual or a CVT. The row-it-your-self model will set you back P 507,000 while the gearless tranny is priced at P 542,000. These figures certainly are very accurate to some of the Anonymous comments this site has been receiving the past few weeks.
In any case, Suzuki says the Celerio is much bigger thanks to a longer body and wheelbase, wider front and rear tracks, and a taller roofline. All in all, it should adhere to the “small on the outside, big in the inside” idea.
“We are very excited to introduce our A+ compact to the Filipino market. With its superior design, best-in-class luggage capacity, superb ease of driving, and outstanding fuel efficiency, we are confident that the all-new Suzuki Celerio is set to be the new standard in this segment,” shared Mr. Hiroshi Suzuki, President of Suzuki Philippines.
The official launch is slated for August 5, but if you happen to pass by Suzuki dealerships nationwide, they’ll have it on display. And if you place a reservation early, you can take an additional P 20,000 off the list price. Effectively, this means the Celerio 1.0 M/T is P 487,000 while the Celerio 1.0 CVT is P 522,000.
For those looking for more information, wait until August 5. We’ll have more information for you then.

DeleteWhich one is the bang for buck?
Celerio has Dual Airbags, ABS&EBD, Immobilizer, Seatbelts with Pretensioner&Force Limiter, ALL Power(windows, ORVM, locks, steering, keyless entry), tosion beam suspension at the rear, McPherson Strut at the front, 254L Cargo Space(seatback not folded), AM/FM,USB,Aux, CD. 60/40 split fold rear seats, upgraded engine with 11.0 compression ratio, 4-star ANCAP Crash Tested. 21.28 km/L AVERAGE Consumption.
34.34 km/L DOE tested with the same engine for the old model.
Bigger legroom, bigger head clearance.lighter weight with 864Kgs.
I believe it has only ABS but no EBD, correct me if I'm wrong. But I've been studying this car for a while now 'cause I'm planning to get one.
Deletebase on your post, then, the celerio is still the best in terms of pricing for the CVT.. :)
ReplyDeleteBased on his post, he's using this site again to get customers. Tsk tsk
ReplyDeleteI actually don't mind if sales agents post here and stuff. Just don't spam or flood the site. They get banned if they do.
Delete^The figures came from this site's car price guide...
ReplyDeleteThey should've done away with the manual model and replaced it with the AMT transmission. It looks pretty awesome. TeamBHP has a very thorough review of the new Celerio with the AMT transmission. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/official-new-car-reviews/151680-maruti-celerio-official-review.html
ReplyDeleteI don't think it will sell as much as the M/T variants though, mas mahal pa. Medyo nakakalito pa kasi AMT :)
DeleteNice alternative to the overrated Wigo....
ReplyDeleteWow, this actually looks good compared to its competitors in this segment. I'd say it would stand the test of time like the Swift. What most Pinoys don't know is that Suzuki outsells Honda in its home market of Japan in terms of car sales. Locally, Suzuki has more dealerships nationwide than Honda, Mazda and Subaru. I think they have as much showrooms as Hyundai/Kia. Kulang lang talaga sa PR at marketing. They should hire better PR/advertising firms to promote their brand.
ReplyDeleteTignan mo Subaru, lagi bukambibig dito sa CarGuide at BottomGear, marunong kung saan magpapadulas eh... :P
ano kaya recommended suzuki dealer sa bandang south, trip ko yang new celerio nila
ReplyDeleteI recently test drive the unit here in cebu. So far it went very well. Very good turning points. The breaks with abs and ebd did quite well on hard breaking situation.. the problem I had experience is the steering, its somewhat " mabigat ". I dnt know why...
ReplyDeleteThe looks are good.. spacious indeed. Legroom sa likod is very acceptable compare sa ibang A segment car..
it will look better for me lang ha if 15inch rims.. hmmmm. Im reconsdering the mirage glx 2015.
Sir go for Swift 1.2 with GPS Touch.
Delete4-cylinder engine. 87hp 114Nm torque.
668K for AT. 24km/L highway top gear testing.
Mirage is only 3cylinder 75Hp.
And more expensive.
27km/L highway for Manual Transmission. Top Gear Testing.
Consumption is still very close.
Bu if we try MT for Swift. Could have same or better consumption with Mirage GLX MT.
