Subaru Palm Challenge 2015 Ends Provincial Legs, Manila Leg on This September 5


Subaru, through distributor Motor Image Pilipinas and its authorized dealers in Cebu and Davao, successfully ended the provincial legs of the annual Subaru Palm Challenge 2015. The provincial legs, which were held last August 8 in Ayala Center, Cebu and August 15 at SM Lanang Premier in Davao, saw over 300 registrants per leg. Eventually, this was shortlisted to 120 Cebuanos and 120 Davaoenos for the Cebu and Davao legs repectively.

This year’s Cebu leg was won by Mr. Donn Michael Yap, a 25-year Virtual Assistant for Financial Advisers. The winner also last year, Yap posted a total time of 12 hours, 55 minutes, and 45 seconds beating his previous record. He is joined by the last man standing from the Davao leg, Mr. Gilbert Hamo-ay who finished with a time of 13 hours, 7 minutes, and 3 seconds—a new record in Davao.

Eight other challengers from the upcoming Manila leg on September 5 in the Bonifacio Global City, Taguig will complete the 10-man Philippine contingent which will compete against 10 other Asian countries at the Subaru Palm Challenge 2015 in Singapore.

The prizes for this year include Subaru merchandise, P 10,000 for the Top 9 Challengers per leg, and P 20,000 for the leg winner. The Philippines’s 10-man contingent will also enjoy an all-expense paid trip to Singapore where they will compete for a brand-new Subaru Forester 2.0i-L worth P 1,398,000.

Registration is still open for the last leg in Manila. Interested participants may choose to download their forms at www.motorimage.net/PH or grab a copy of the registration form and submit these at Subaru showrooms nationwide – Greenhills, Bonifacio Global City, Manila Bay, Alabang, and Batangas.
