Peugeot Celebrates Culture at French Film Festival

Last June 8, Wednesday, art, glitz, and glamour filled the air at the red carpet gala of the 21st French Film Festival, held at Central Square in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Among the evening’s distinguished guests were foreign dignitaries, officials from the French Embassy, businessmen, and lifestyle and motoring journalists. But the real stars of the show were the makers of great art: the cast and crew behind acclaimed films Ma’ Rosa and Imbisibol.

Peugeot Philippines, the French Film Festival’s official premium mobility sponsor, was represented by several officials, with its president Glen Dasig at the helm.

“It was a fantastic night for French culture,” said Dasig. “We are very glad to have once again partnered with the French Embassy in this worthy annual project.”

As the French Film Festival’s official mobility partner, Peugeot shuttled guests from the Three Parkade parking area straight to the red carpet at Central Square. The cast and crew of Ma’ Rosa and Imbisibol, who were led by 2016 Cannes Film Festival Best Actress Awardee Jaclyn Jose, were also brought to the red carpet in Peugeot vehicles.

Later in the evening, the guests were treated to an exclusive screening of Mon Roi (My King), which earned Emmanuelle Bercot the Best Actress award at last year’s Cannes Film Festival.

“We are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to share our vehicles with the guests in attendance during the French Film Festival’s gala night,” said Dasig. “Though we firmly believe that our product offerings are among the best in the market today, nothing can deliver the message the way an actual experience inside our cars can.”

Upon the conclusion of the 21st French Film Festival on June 14, Tuesday, the fleet of Peugeot 301, 3008, and Expert Tepee vehicles used during the festival will be offered at special rates in Peugeot dealerships nationwide.

“This is our way of giving more people the opportunity to experience our fine product offerings. Like our partners in the French Embassy, we do, after all, want the Filipino to experience the best of France,” explained Dasig.
