BYD Philippines Launches the S7: a 7-Seater Luxury Crossover


Solar Transport and Automotive Resources Corporation (STAR Corporation), the authorized distributor of BYD automobiles celebrated its third anniversary with the unveiling of the all-new S7 luxury SUV.

The BYD S7 is a unibody crossover that offers performance and luxury in a 7-seater package.

The elegant S7 features a wing-type grille that surrounds the BYD logo that’s lit by LED. It features daytime running lights, LED taillights, front and rear fog lights, a panoramic sunroof, dual exhaust tips, and even 18-inch alloy wheels for a truly sporty appearance.



Inside, the S7 promises comfort and convenience for all occupants with standard leather seats, dual-zone climate control with a built-in air purification system, and a 10.2-inch infotainment system with a 9-speaker, 5.1-surround sound system. The driver also gets the pleasure of having a 4.3-inch TFT LCD screen read out all relevant information about vehicle condition and status, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an illuminated shift knob. The 8-way power adjustable seat and tilt/telescopic steering column makes for an ergonomic driving experience.

Powered by an all-aluminum 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, the S7 is available solely in front-wheel drive. Featuring variable valve timing, turbocharging, and direct injection, it has 151 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 320 Nm of torque from as low as 1,750 rpm. This is mated to a 6-speed dual clutch automatic with cruise control.



In terms of safety, the S7 comes standard with stability control (ESP), a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, and a tire pressure monitoring system along with the dual slew of airbags and anti-lock brakes. The new BYD S7 retails for P 1,498,000.

I am not PRO CHINA nor Anti US; For Transmission before AT Cars there is a MT cars and on issue of Quality of any products compare with USA there is also Japan made, Taiwan made and Korean that we Filipino criticize and can not accept before but now we already accept and embrace those products. Accept the reality Nothing is Forever and we will all die but our next generation will accept new products from China, India and etc regardless of what political belief of orientation we had. Peace
