Ford Philippines Sales Continue to Rise in January 2017

Ford Philippines announced that January retail sales rose 2.5 percent year-over-year to 2,519 vehicles, led by continued strong demand for its EcoSport, Everest, and Ranger nameplates.

The EcoSport compact SUV remained Ford’s best-seller in January with sales jumping 67 percent from a year ago to 922 vehicles. EcoSport continues to be a leading choice among Filipinos due to a strong appeal that combines small-car practicality with the agility of an SUV.

The segment-defining Ranger kicked off the new year with January sales increasing 32 percent year-over-year to 722 vehicles. The Ranger’s ‘Built Ford Tough’ character and full lineup of 15 variants offers the ideal complement to a wide range of Filipino work and lifestyles.

The Everest also contributed to Ford’s strong start to the year with January sales of 718 vehicles. The Everest is one of the smartest vehicles in its segment, and its striking design is unmistakable on the road.

“It’s a nice start to the year, with the uptake for Ranger, Everest and EcoSport keeping our showrooms busy around the country,” said Lance Mosley, managing director, Ford Philippines.
