Hyundai Philippines is finally getting serious about doing battle in the sub-compact crossover segment with the all-new Creta. Pegged as “the perfect partner”, this all-new global model certainly has what it takes to take on the Ford EcoSport, SsangYong Tivoli, and Nissan Juke. And get this, the price starts at just a tad above P 900,000.
Styled under the new Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, the Creta doesn’t go for the usual oddball styling prevalent in the sub-compact crossover class. Here, the Creta shines with its trademark hexagonal grille (with aircraft-inspired three-slat grille), 16-inch alloy wheels, and a sloping roofline.
Inside, it’s well-loaded for the price with a full-featured integrated audio system with 4 speakers, dual SRS airbags, and ABS with EBD standard across all variants. The higher variants stand out with front fog lamps, roof rails on the outside and steering wheel controls on the inside.
What truly sets the Creta apart is that it comes with two engine choices: a 1.6-liter gasoline and a 1.6-liter diesel engine. The 1.6-liter gasoline features Dual CVVT technology upping the output to 123 horsepower and 151 Nm of torque while the diesel has 128 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. The gasoline variant comes in both manual and automatic flavors, while the diesel only comes with a row-it-yourself stick.
The Creta comes 6 colors the availability of which depends on the variant: Phantom Black, Sleek Silver, Polar White, Mystic Blue, Red Passion, and Pearl Beige. The Creta’s SRP is as follows: P 918,000 for the 1.6L M/T, P 988,000 for the 1.6L A/T, and P 1,038,000 for the 1.6 CRDi M/T.
All Hyundai dealerships nationwide are taking orders for the all-new Creta with deliveries to start soon.

ReplyDeleteHyundai parts are very expensive. A friend in Cebu paid 100k+ to replace the aircon unit of his 2005 Sta. Fe. They told him it doesn't have replaceable parts. He has to replace the entire head unit assembly. I dono if that's true. But in Cebu there is only one dealership. At that time his Sta. Fe was 6 yrs old. And he said it was breaking down left and right. And the parts were expensive.

Hyundai Cebu sucks because there is only one dealer and no competition. I was charged 20k for a side mirror replacement that i could buy 2k online. Look for 3rd party supplier instead preferably online
DeleteI don't think another dealership would matter much on the cost of parts. I'm not a Hyundai owner. Probably, Hyundai owners here in Manila which has different competing dealerships can comment on the cost of maintenance and parts of Hyundai vehicles.

ReplyDeletereleased in India, the top-of-the-line amounting to 1,339,955 rupees (+1,058,000Php), and in here the top-of-the-line costs 1,038,000Php.
Yet, they have downgraded the following from that of Creta in India:
- from Automatic AC... manual here
- from 6 airbags (Dual front, 2 side and 2 curtain), here just the standard dual airbags
- with rear parking assist & cam... here, none
- touchscreen infotainment with GPS, here the usual F*ck
