Manila, Get Ready for Alfa Romeo
This is not a drill. After 25 years of absence from the Philippine market, Alfa Romeo is coming back into the country under a new distributor.
With a showroom expected to be completed by September of this year (location is along Ortigas Avenue), this storied Italian brand will be brought in by Petromax Enterprises.
A premium Italian brand that rivals German stalwarts such as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo is known for beautifully crafted and sporty sedans and sportscars. Highly evocative and innovative, Alfa Romeo introduced many technical innovations such as the double overhead cam engine, electronic fuel injection, and variable valve timing. It also has a history ingrained in motorsport competing in disciplines such as Formula One, sportscar racing, touring car racing, and rallies. Currently, it has the most wins of any car brand in the world.
Under its Philippine distributor, Alfa Romeo Philippines will first be offering the Giulia Quadrifoglio —Alfa Romeo’s high-performance mid-sized sedan. It offers a class-leading 505 horsepower thanks to a Ferrari-derived twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Rocketing to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, the Giulia Quadrifoglio holds the record for the fastest four-door sedan at the Nürburgring with a lap time of 7 minutes 32 seconds.
Styled to have a commanding presence, the Giulia Quadrifoglio features the signature “Trilobo”—a signature design element. Inside, the driver-focused cockpit with its asymmetric-styled instrument cluster and simplistic elegant design won it recognition as one of the 10 Best Interiors for 2017 as given by Ward’s Auto.
Aside from the Giulia Quadrifoglio, Petromax Enterprises will also be offering aftersales service support to all new and existing Alfa Romeo owners using original parts.

Finally! The heavens had heard my prayers. Looking forward for the Alfa Romeo giulia quadrifoglio.

Thank you for your kind reply! It is very encouraging news. Something to spice up the local car market is always a welcome addition. Here’s to hoping they’ll bring in the Giulietta, Mito, and Stelvio as well. Filipino Alfisti must be rejoicing!
DeleteHow many years warranty will be offered? Italiancar designs are nice but often do not age well in our environment
ReplyDeleteHuh? What for when Mazda's already here...
ReplyDeleteItaly has come a long way to produce cars that will last as long as luxury cars usually last. The interior might be filled with more cheap, hard plastics than your average audi but it will last longer and won't be sticky under our country's gruelling heat.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree Mazda produces some of the more stylish cars and with driver engagement now absent in BMW - partly because most BMWs these days are diesel with a somewhat disconnected steering wheel comparedto BMWs of old.
The Alfa Romeo however is more than owning a car, you also acquire the history and the pedigree of that brand. Which cannot be said with any other brand.
