2018 Peugeot 5008 SUV Now Available (w/ 17 Photos, Brochure)

After previewing it last December, Peugeot Philippines is finally making its all-new 5008 SUV available to buyers. Its all-new 3-row, 7-seater SUV is Peugeot’s biggest SUV yet and completes the brand’s revitalized line-up.

Underpinned by Peugeot’s new Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP2), the all-new 5008 offers a bigger, yet lighter frame for improved fuel efficiency and better driving dynamics. Hand-in-hand with this increased sense of agility, the 5008 is powered by Peugeot’s renowned 1.6-liter high-pressure turbocharged gasoline engine. Shared with the 3008 compact SUV, it offers 165 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Unburdened by a complex all-wheel drive system, the 5008 relies solely on its front wheels for traction and yet thanks to its Advanced Grip Control—it maximizes all available grip through one of five available settings: Normal, Snow, Mud, Sand, and ESP Off.

Balancing style, comfort, and luxury, the all-new 5008 boasts of Peugeot’s widely-acclaimed iCockpit. It offers a heightened driving position, compact steering wheel, and a fully digital dashboard and control panel. Both futuristic and intuitive, the 5008 is well-equipped with a powered driver’s seat with memory, a single-action “Magic Folding” second row, dual-zone climate control, and a leather/cloth combination seating, among its list of convenience features. It also comes with Peugeot’s Park Assist function which automatically steers the 5008 into a space big enough to accommodate it.

It’s also highly modular with seat backs that recline and cushions that slide fore and aft. When not in use, the third-row folds and stows completely delivering 962 liters of luggage space. Removing the third row further expands that to 1,060 liters.

The all-new 2018 Peugeot 5008 SUV is now available at all authorized dealerships nationwide at a suggested retail price of 2,990,000. It comes in 3 colors: Emerald Crystal, Pearl White, Platinum Gray, and Pyrite.
