Toyota to Sell Off Stake in Isuzu

Toyota and Isuzu have agreed to part ways, dissolving their capital tie-up in the process. Although the two automakers intend to maintain their strong relationship, through joint development projects among others, Toyota is going to sell their entire stake in Isuzu.

It must be remembered that in 2006, Isuzu and Toyota signed a basic agreement to utilize each other’s operational resources focusing particularly on diesel engines. However, with changes in the market environment and little to show in terms of their collaborative efforts, the two companies have decided to call it quits.
