Nissan Philippines Ups the Excitement with the 2019 370Z NISMO and Juke NISMO

Nissan Philippines, Inc., the fastest growing automaker in the country is set to bring in excitement with the market preview of two new sporty offerings: the 370Z NISMO and the Juke NISMO RS at the Philippine International Motor Show.

“We have definitely seen a lot of interest and positive response to the GT-R NISMO and we want to reach more Filipinos looking for more excitement in their cars through this latest offering of performance vehicles,” said Ramesh Narasimhan, president and managing director Nissan Philippines.

Both of these vehicles will be available in the market by the latter half of 2019.

Nissan 370Z NISMO

Form and function come together with the 370Z NISMO’s GT-R’s inspired fully integrated aerodynamic body pieces that give it an aggressive and more aerodynamic appearance that optimizes front and rear downforce.

Coupled with its more aggressive looks, the 370Z NISMO is powered by a 3.7-liter V6 with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL) that makes 350 horsepower and 374 Nm of torque. This sporty rear-wheel drive coupe also features various body rigidity enhancements and a pair of performance dampers that help minimize road input vibrations contributing to a high level of handling and performance.

Though it’s the 370Z NISMO that was shown at PIMS, Nissan Philippines will be bringing in the “regular” 370Z as well. The carmaker has yet to indicate any pricing, but because it fulfills the displacement requirements for JPEPA, it’ll be competitively. It’s safe to assume that’ll compete the with the likes of the Subaru WRX STI and Ford Mustang EcoBoost (~ P 2.5 million). Meanwhile, the 370Z NISMO commands a P 550,000 premium which should put it around P 3.1 million.

Nissan Juke NISMO

Already known for its unique styling and dynamic performance, the Juke already combines crossover utility and sportscar sensibilities. Now, for the Philippine market, the Juke gets an added dose of sportiness thanks to the NISMO treatment.

“NISMO makes it possible for drivers to experience the ultimate Nissan performance every day,” says Hiroshi Tamura, NISMO chief product specialist. “It’s everything from functional design to race-proven engineering that brings back the thrill of the drive.”

Aside from its aerodynamic enhancements, the Juke NISMO features a 1.6-liter high-pressure direct-injected turbocharged engine making 210 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque mated to a CVT transmission. Power is routed through all four wheels.
