Honda CR-V Bags 2 Major Awards at ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards 2018

The 2018 CR-V has won two major safety-related awards at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Award 2018 cementing the first-ever 7-seater diesel SUV from Honda’s reputation for safety.

The all-new CR-V was awarded the “Best SUV Car” in Child Occupancy Protection (COP) and the “ASEAN NCAP Excellent Award – Consistent 5-Star” for the CR-V’s strong safety performance from the fourth to the fifth-generation models.

Launched in the ASEAN region last March 2017, the fifth-generation CR-V is now being sold in 8 other countries and has so far sold over 70,000 units across the region.

The CR-V’s win at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix 2018 is yet another feather to its cap which includes winning the Philippine Car of the Year 2017, the Thailand Car of the Year 2017, FORWOT’s Car of the Year in Indonesia, and CarList’s Car of the Year 2017 in Malaysia. This comes from the carmaker’s equally strong performance in 2016 as well.

This result endorses Honda’s dedication to providing the safest vehicles, in line with the company’s 2030 vision to “provide safety and a sense of security to everyone sharing the road.”
