Mitsubishi's Flying High in Indonesia, Literally

The Mitsubishi Xpander is flying high, literally, in Indonesia. If you happen to find yourself there, you’ll be able to spot these special livery Garuda Indonesia planes that feature Mitsubishi’s best-selling MPV.

Stuck to the site of Garuda Indonesia’s Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft, Mitsubishi says the partnership with Indonesia’s leading airline is ideal given they both carry “a dream transportation option, offering prestige, comfort, features, and the best service but still affordable by the consumers.”

Last year, Garuda Indonesia became Mitsubishi’s largest fleet customer thanks to the delivery of 401 Xpander MPVs, all equipped with a manual transmission (GLS M/T). The units, which have decal branding are used as operational cars and official transport of Garuda Indonesia crew and employees.

Both companies are now studying the possibility of further cooperation to support the business process and economic development in Indonesia.

Since its launch in August 2017, the Xpander has captured 44 percent of Indonesia’s small MPV market.
