Subaru Just Quietly Increased the Price of the 2019 Forester

This piece of news flew past below most radars, so in case you missed it: Motor Image Pilipinas, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the country decided to increase the price of the all-new 2019 Forester.

The move comes as no surprise given the launch prices of the Forester were just introductory. As a refresher, the prices announced last January were: P 1,598,000 for the 2.0i-L, P 1,698,000 for the 2.0i-L with EyeSight, and P 1,798,000 for the 2.0i-S with EyeSight.

However, with majority of buyers opting for the highest trim 2.0i-S with EyeSight, the distributor says the stock of the first batch of units have already been depleted.

A second batch of units has just landed in the Philippines and with that, a shift to the regular non-introductory price. The hike? P 30,000. This pushes the price of the range-topping 2.0i-S with EyeSight to P 1,828,000.

Sources within Motor Image Pilipinas says that the hike isn’t the “endgame” yet. A price increase may soon follow on both the 2.0i-L and 2.0i-L with EyeSight. While, the 2.0i-S with EyeSight may also see a second round of price increase in the next few months too.

In short, if you’re in the market for a Subaru Forester, now is the right time to act.
