Nissan Just Made a Golf Ball That Guarantees a Hole-in-One (w Video)

From ryokan slippers, Nissan is now taking its ProPilot autonomous driving tech to the golf course with this unique golf ball. Dubbed the ProPilot golf ball, it applies Nissan’s ProPilot 2.0 to a golf ball enabling them to move following a predefined route.

An overhead camera detects the position of the ball and cup. When the ball is hit, a monitoring system calculates the correct route based on the ball's movement and adjusts its trajectory. Combining sensing technology with an internal electric motor, the ProPilot golf ball stays on route until reaching the cup.

Technically, Nissan says this tech is made to simply put nerves out of golf, especially for newbies; however, we can’t help but realize that using the ProPilot golf ball will surely increase the chances of getting a hole-in-one. Eat your heart out, Tiger Woods.

For those who have the chance to visit the Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery in Yokohama, visitors can practice their golf swing with the ProPilot golf ball from August 29 to September 1 from 10 AM to 8 PM.
