Ford PH Launches 2020 Everest Sport at P 1.868M (w/ Specs, 15 Photos)

After an almost 60-day delay brought about by various COVID-19 related quarantine measures, Ford Philippines has finally taken the wraps off the 2020 Everest Sport. Marking the country’s first-ever virtual car launch, the Everest Sport joins current Everest line-up in the Philippines.

Picking up where the Trend 4x2 leaves off, the 2020 Everest Sport comes decked with sportier exterior cues. It replaces chrome exterior highlights either with high-gloss black or body-colored ones. The three-bar grille has been replaced with a mesh-type one and the hood now comes with embossed “Everest” lettering. Capping off the changes are 20-inch high-gloss black alloy rims, and Sport badging on the rear door and trunk.

Inside, the Everest Sport continues the sporty theme. The leather seats and dash topper feature “Raceway Blue” contrasting stitching, while the front seats have the words, “Sport” embossed on it. And like the Titanium 4x2, the Everest Sport features SYNC 3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 8-way power adjustable driver seat among a long list of standard features.

The Everest Sport also shares the Titanium 4x2’s 2.0-liter single turbo diesel engine. This gives it 180 horsepower at 3,500 rpm and 420 Nm of torque between 1,750 to 2,500 rpm. The sole transmission is a 10-speed automatic with select shift and cruise control.

Also like the Everest Titanium 4x2, the Everest Sport comes with automatic LED projector headlamps (17 percent better illumination on the low and 20 percent on the high beam), 7 airbags, vehicle stability control will hill launch assist, reverse parking sensors, and a rear-view camera.

The 2020 Everest Sport comes with a suggested retail price of P 1.868 million in four colors: Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Artic White, and Deep Crystal Blue (exclusive to the Everest Sport). The new Everest Sport arrives at dealerships as early as tomorrow. Customers who purchase the Everest Sport on or before May 31 will get a free three-year scheduled service plan.

Other variants of the Everest have also been upgraded with LED headlights while the 4x4 Titanium+ also gets a high-mount USB with no price increase.
