The Next "Gymkhana" Video will Feature a Subaru!

There will be a new car and driver for the next Gymkhana video. After ten videos, Ken Block is passing the torch over to professional rally driver Travis Pastrana who will drive a Subaru.

The Pastrana-starring film, the 11th in the series, will debut sometime in late 2020. This is the first time in the video series’ history that someone other than Block will play the driver, and the first time since Gymkhana 2 that a Subaru will be used.

“I am Incredibly thankful for this opportunity,” Pastrana said. “Ken and I spent the better part of the past two decades trying to one-up each other on pretty much everything. This is the opportunity of a lifetime—but they’re also some big shoes to fill. It’s equally as exciting as it is scary. Expectations are at an all-time high, but I know with Ken’s help, the full team at Hoonigan and Subaru behind me, we can build off of what Ken created and make it even more exciting.”

In previous Gymkhana videos, Pastrana appeared in several cameos.

The star car for Pastrana’s Gymkhana video has yet to be revealed, with Hoonigan confirming only that it will be a Subaru (it’ll likely be a tuned WRX STI).

According to Hoonigan, this isn’t a permanent switch—Block has no intention of giving up his Gymkhana crown for good.
