2020 Jeep Gladiator Lands in PH, Prices Start at P 3.890M (w/ Brochure)

After over three decades, Jeep is producing its first pickup truck, and that offering, the 2020 Gladiator is now comes to the Philippines with two variants, the Sport and Rubicon, starting at P 3.890 million.

Never just a Wrangler with a truck bed, the Gladiator is engineered from the ground up to provide real truck utility, functionality and of course, the legendary Jeep capability. The Gladiator is built for those who want to work on the weekdays, but goes on extreme off-roading adventures on the weekends.

At the front is the classic seven-slotted grille flanked by LED head- and taillights which provide excellent visibility even on the trails. The Power Dome Dual Vented Hood is both form and function, adding a rugged look of the Gladiator while also helping to remove heat from the engine compartment.

Similar with the Wrangler, the Jeep Gladiator is also equipped with removable aluminum doors, windshield, and top which only takes 20 minutes to dismantle.

The fenders are big enough to take in a set of 35-inch tires with no modification, while Steel Rear Bumpers and Rock Rails—typically an aftermarket accessory, comes standard on the Gladiator. This joints the Steel Skid Plates that cover up the fuel tank and transfer case.

At the rear is a 5-foot (1,524 mm) bed offering ample space to store all your equipment.

Powering the Jeep Gladiator is the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. With an output of 285 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque, it gives it a 1,600-kilogram payload and 3,175-kilogram (7,000 pounds) towing capacity. The sole transmission is an 8-speed automatic.

Inside, the Gladiator is both new and familiar. Front and center is FCA’s Uconnect infotainment system. It boasts of an 8.4-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Tracks are pumped out through the Alpine Premium speaker system. Besides the infotainment system, the driver has a customizable gauge set with a full-color TFT screen.

For added flexibility, the Gladiator has a Rear Compartment Storage Tray that reveals a hidden storage unit under the rear seats. Plus, they can be folded in a 60/40 split essentially giving you a flatbed inside the cabin.

The Gladiator is the only trail-rated pickup truck, and to do that, had to conquer a series of grueling tests over the toughest terrain. Features include the new Off-road Plus Mode which adapt the 4x4 settings based on the selected 4Hi or 4Lo mode, Electronic Sway Bar Disconnect for increased articulation, Tru-Lok front and rear locking differentials, Fox Shox, and even a Selec-Speed Control which is basically an off-road cruise control.

For safety, the Gladiator comes equipped with Blind Spot Monitoring and a ParkView rear back-up camera.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator starts at P 3.890 million for the Gladiator Sport, and goes up to 4.790 million for the top-of-the-line Gladiator Rubicon.

  1. The hell? Aren't pickup trucks exempt from some tariffs and taxes?
The heck kind of pricing is this?

Roughly $78k for a truck that only costs $33k in the US? Outrageous!

    1. It's because of the rubbish taxation system in the Philippines. Even before the TRAIN law, cars in Ph are already more expensive than in the US. Philippines really need to lower their taxes for cars to match their prices with the car prices in the USA.

  2. This is the reason why Jeep chrysler LocaldLocal AutoNation don't racked up big sales because of selling Price. Too much expensive like Chevrolet. Unlike Ford Philippines they have the right retail price of its American cars. Top of the line F150 is just below 3Million Bucks.
