Mercedes-Benz Philippines brings in the newest member of its SUV family: the all-new GLB. Marking the 8th model underpinned by the Modular Front Architecture (MFA), it’s the German luxury automaker’s first 7-seater compact SUV.
Dubbed as the “most versatile compact SUV” in its class, the Mercedes-Benz GLB can take you and six of your friends for road trips on weekends. Yet, with a long wheelbase of 2,829 mm, but relatively short overall length of 4,634 mm, it’s compact enough to be used on daily drives around the metro.
As the sole offering in the GLB range, the GLB 200 comes with a turbocharged 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine with 163 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. This is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic with standard cruise control. It also comes with Dynamic Select. This system alters engine, transmission, chassis, and steering settings based on one of three settings: Comfort, Eco, or Sport.
Fitted with the AMG Line package, the GLB 200 AMG Line comes standard with LED dynamic headlights, 19-inch light-alloy wheels, and the AMG body styling kit which includes body-painted side skirts and polished aluminum roof rails.
Aside from standard seating for seven (all with their own headrests and ISOFIX and TOP-Tethers all the way to the third row), the GLB 200 AMG Line comes with easy-to-maintain Black Artico Dinamica microfiber seats.
The all-new GLB offers an array of modern technology as well. The intuitive Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) acts as your own in-car personal assistant. Tell it, touch it, point to it, the GLB can hear you, and show you the way. MBUX can quietly respond to your touch as well, using a 7-inch standard central touchscreen that is also controlled by touchpad on the center console, steering wheel controls, and natural-language commands.
Smartphone Integration merges the mobile phone with the infotainment system via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This gives convenient access to the most important applications on your smartphone. You can also use apps from third-party service providers such as Spotify quickly and easily.
Finally, the 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB comes with a slew of driver assist systems including a reverse parking camera and active park assist.
The introductory retail price is P 3,790,000.
The all-new GLB is available at all Mercedes-Benz dealerships. Visit the showroom at Edsa Greenhills, Bonifacio Global City, Alabang and Cebu City to check it out. Go online at the official website.
A 1.3liter turbocharged 7seater for 3.8million? Only a diehard merc fan would buy this garbage.
ReplyDeleteIm not a diehard benz fan but would consider buying it if I have the money.
DeleteGood for you, sir. If i have money to spend, i would look elsewhere than buy this overpriced, underpowered luxury vehicle. For this price range, there are other choices much better than this crap of a crossover.
