Mitsubishi PH Recalling Selected 2017-18 Pajero SUVs

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is conducting a recall on selected 2017-2018 Pajero SUV units due to a possible malfunction located at the front right lower control arm.

In certain cases, the welding strength of the front right lower control arm may be inadequate and could fail at one of the weld joints. If the lower control arm fails, the steering might not operate correctly, increasing the risk of injury or accident for both the driver and other road users.

While there’s still no reported case here in the Philippines, replacement of front right lower control arm in the affected units is necessary and is being done proactively to ensure that the vehicle is road worthy and safe to use.

The replacement procedure of the affected lower control arm will take about 2 hours and shall be free of charge. MMPC encourages owners of the affected units to book an appointment with their preferred Mitsubishi dealership before visiting to ensure hassle-free and safe transaction.

MMPC is providing a VIN Checker here.

For additional concerns and inquiries, customers can get in touch with MMPC Customer Care Center at telephone numbers (+63 2) 8250 8888 Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

All authorized Mitsubishi Motors Service Centers nationwide are also capable and ready to attend to any related customers’ inquiry and concerns.
