Ford Makes the 2021 Mustang Mach 1 Available for Global Markets

Ford had big news over the weekend confirming that its limited-edition, high-performance Ford Mustang Mach 1 is going global for the first time ever.

Confirmed for both the European, and even Oceania (Ford/New Zealand) markets, the Mustang Mach 1 bridges the gap between the Mustang GT and the Shelby models. Considered to be the most track-capable 5.0-liter Mustang ever, it packs 480 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque from its legendary V8 motor. To achieve this, it gets several Shelby GT350 components such as the intake manifold, oil filter adapter and engine oil cooler, and increasing engine oil cooling capability by 50 percent.

Together with the revamped engine, the Mustang Mach 1 rides on a track-tuned suspension with specially-calibrated MagneRide 2 dampers, bespoke springs, and modifications to the stabilizer bars, bushings, and even electric power steering system.

The 2021 Mustang Mach 1 recalls the styling of the Mach 1 Mustangs of the 1960s and 1970s with hood and side tripes, performance-derived body styling, and unique 19-inch alloy wheels. Moreover, cementing its status as a limited-edition model, it will be individually numbered with a distinctive plaque showing its build order.

So far, Ford Philippines hasn’t commented as to the Mustang Mach 1’s availability locally, but given the popularity of high-performance vehicles, particularly the Mustang in the country, it won’t come as a surprise if the American carmaker will offer this as part of its sportscar stable.
