Chery Auto PH Holds Public Preview of the Tiggo 7 Pro at MIAS Wired

If our first impressions aren’t enough, you can also take a sneak peek at Chery’s upcoming compact crossover—the Tiggo 7 Pro at MIAS Wired.

“We are excited to let MIAS Wired visitors get the first look at our all-new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. With its luxury SUV styling and premium features, we expect it to be a gamechanger in the fast-growing compact crossover segment,” says Chery Auto Philippines President Rommel Sytin.

Credit for the Tiggo 7 Pro’s world-class design goes to Chery’s Vice President and Global Chief of Car Design, Britain’s Kevin Rice. Rice was instrumental in the design of Mazdas, including the MX-5, from 1999 to 2005 as Hiroshima’s European Design Director, and with BMW, for the exterior design of the previous 1, 3, and 4 Series.

Inside the cabin and under the sheet metal, the new Tiggo 7 Pro reflects the same upscale style and premium build quality and features that the exterior hints at. There is a biggest-in-class 10.25-inch touchscreen 6-speaker infotainment system that has Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife, and MirrorLink. The Smart Key not only starts the engine, but it also turns on the aircon, opens the tailgate, and the windows—all at a push of a button. It also comes with wireless mobile phone charging plus three USB ports.

Other premium features include a 360-degree HD camera, a power tailgate, an electronic parking brake, a tire pressure monitoring system, a rear camera with front and rear proximity sensors, and a fully digital instrument cluster.

The Tiggo 7 Pro is powered by a new-generation 1.5-liter turbocharged DOHC 16-valve Euro 5 4-cylinder engine coupled with a new continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Safety features include ABS, EBD, ESP, EBA, TCS, HAC, HDC, and ISOFIX. It also has a Brake Override System, which automatically overrides the throttle when the accelerator and brake pedals are depressed at the same time. The Tiggo 7 Pro also has an Emergency Signal System, which flashes the hazard lights at high speed if the driver suddenly brakes when traveling at high speed to alert the motorist following behind.

Like all Chery Auto models locally, it has an irresistible package with a 10-year/1 million-kilometer engine warranty, a 5-year/150,000-kilometer general vehicle warranty, free 3 years preventive maintenance service (PMS), and free 3 years roadside assistance.

Pricing and more details will be announced when the Tiggo 7 Pro is formally unveiled early next year, but for now, catch it and the rest of the Chery Tiggo crossover range at MIAS Wired.
