Geely Azkarra Beats BMW X1, Subaru XV in Chinese NCAP Test*


In a bid to uphold the high-quality standards set by Geely for its customers globally, the Chinese automaker makes sure that all of its models embody uncompromised safety and technology. As proof, just take a look at the Azkarra, and its performance at the China New Car Assessment Program (C-NCAP).

Known as the Boyue in China, the Azkarra scored a perfect 5-star safety rating. Moreover, when the scores are tabulated, it managed to beat out competition such as the BMW X1 and Subaru XV. Take a look at the scores below:
  1. Geely Azkarra (Boyue) - 58.2 (5-Star)
  2. BMW X1 sDrive 1.8i - 56.6 (5-Star)*
  3. Nissan Lannia 1.6 - 56.1 (5-Star)
  4. Ford Taurus 2.0 - 55.4 (5-Star)
  5. Subaru XV 2.0i - 50.9 (4-Star)*
  6. Brilliance Jinbei750 1.5 - 30.7 (2-Star)

From research and development, pre-production, manufacturing, sale, and after-sales service, we keep in our minds the drivers, passengers, and pedestrians, their safety and peace of mind in every drive”, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) President Mikihisa Takayama said.

China has been actively participating with other global automotive safety assessment agencies. This, as China continuously raises up its vehicle safety standards and educate the public on road safety.
