These are the World's First Off-Road Wipers

BF Goodrich has made a name for itself producing some of the world’s best off-road tires. Now, they’re using that goodwill to market the world’s first off-road centric windshield wipers.

The BF Goodrich Off-Road wiper blade is a very specific product, and one with a very specific use in mind: off-roading.

The tire (now wiper maker) says their off-road wiper is better than regular ones in a number of ways. First, it’s far more durable. Next, it contains what the brand calls “Scrub-X Extreme Weather Performance” technology which helps repel mud, bugs, rain, snow, and ice from the blade cover making it more efficient. Then, there’s “X-Flex” which makes for complete windshield contact, and “Secure-X” that makes for easy and secure connection. Oh, and there’s also the way it looks. The typically plain outer rubber shell has been changed, tweaked to look like the BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tire.

So far, the BF Goodrich Off-Road wiper blade is on sale in the U.S. only, where it sets you back for around USD 79.99 or around P 3,850.00. It’s now available for a number of trucks and SUVs, most of which are, you guessed it, made with off-roading in mind (you’ll notice that fitment for crossovers such as the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Subaru Forester are absent).
