L300, Strada Posts Strong January Sales as Mitsubishi PH Streamlines Line-Up

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) starts the year strong with strong sales of its L300 and Strada.

The L300, Mitsubishi’s venerable light truck registered 764 units sold in January 2021—a 59 percent sales growth compared to December 2020. The carmaker says the solid numbers are attributable to the special Retro promo that brought down the suggested retail price of the L300 to just P 698,000 (cab and chassis). The retro offer has been extended until the end of February.

On the other hand, the Strada closed January with 428 units sold—a 101-unit improvement or 30 percent higher versus December 2020. MMPC says that its pickup truck has been securing steady sales month-on-month, showing good promise for the Mitsubishi nameplate.

Meanwhile, this February, MMPC has streamlined its line-up. Apart from introducing a better-loaded Montero Sport, they have also reduced the number of Mirage hatchback variants to just two—a MT and a CVT. While its flagship SUV, the Pajero has finally been discontinued.

“Every month displays a new challenge for us but we are grateful to consistently receive an overwhelming support from the market and admirable passion from our dealer partners. We will continue to strive to give the market enticing promos to assist them in owning their desired Mitsubishi vehicle,” said Mr. Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, President and CEO of MMPC.
