Honda PH to Export XRM125 to New Zealand

Engineered for the Filipino riding public, made in the Philippines, and now, exported to the world. In an effort to put the Philippines on the map in motorcycle manufacturing, Honda Philippines will begin exporting the XRM125 to New Zealand starting next month.

The XRM125, capable of traversing unpaved roads, will provide mobility mostly to New Zealand’s daily and livestock farmers and workers.

“We see the exportation of these motorcycle units as the perfect opportunity to put Philippine-made motorcycles on the map since we can also consider ourselves as a motorcycle-riding country. It can also help the economy recover as we hope this opportunity can provide and sustain jobs in the manufacturing industry in the future,” HPI President Susumu Mitsuishi said.

The XRM125 is a unique Honda motorcycle model made exclusively in the Philippines whose demand has also risen outside the country. Since its production in December 2001, the total production volume has reached over 1.83 million units.

Launched just last week, the Honda XRM125 can help New Zealand’s agriculture industry workers with its 125-cc PGM-Fi engine with under cowl for added protection.

Along with its handlebars, knuckle guard, and front fender, it is perfect for off-road use and longer rides with its 3.9-liter tank capacity and 65.4km/L fuel consumption, based on World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC).

It also has other features that can help industry workers with their transportation needs in their profession, like its spacious utility-box, pillion step, muffler, Sporty CRF-inspired headlight, and equipped with digital meter panel.

Its riders also get to ride in style with its techno sport-inspired decals and color variations of Ceramic Gray, Dark Green, Fighting Red, and Aura Blue.

For Filipinos, the soon-to-be-exported Honda XRM125 is now available at all authorized dealerships with a retail price starting at P 67,900.
