The 2021 Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior Is "World's Toughest Navara"

That didn’t take long. Two days after Nissan engineering partner, Premcar teased the “world’s toughest Navara,” Nissan has finally pulled the covers. Meet the 2021 Navara PRO-4X Warrior.

Nissan hasn’t released all the details yet, except for a couple of key details.

First, it’s based off the PRO-4X model. Second, it’s tailor-made “to withstand the most rugged terrain without sacrificing safety, technology, or on-road comfort.”

Like the PRO-4X, the PRO-4X Warrior has a 7-inch Advanced Drive Assist instrument cluster, and a high-contrast 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will have a leather-clad interior.

And despite all the changes—the steel bumper, raised ride height, and all, Nissan says the PRO-4X Warrior will come equipped with the full suite of driver assist tech such as seven airbags, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, and Intelligent Emergency Braking.

This isn’t the first time Nissan Australia and Premcar worked on the Navara. Previously, they developed the N-Trek Warrior which gained a 40-mm lift over the standard Navara thanks to a 15-mm suspension lift and 32.2-inch all-terrain tires. It also gained dual-rate rear springs—a feature now standard on the refreshed Navara.

The PRO-4X Warrior is currently being tested and validated in the Australian Outback with market release before the end of 2021.
