Michelin PH Introduces LTX Trail Tire

Michelin Philippines launches the new LTX Trail tire, its on- and off-road tire, specially designed for pickup trucks and SUVs.

A successor to the LTX Force, the LTX Trail offers an extended lifespan, long-lasting safety with excellent wet braking performance even when worn, and lower interior noise levels.

Daesy Natalya – Country Lead for the Philippines revealed: “At Michelin, we never stop innovating to enable people to move around more freely, safely; and to live a better life in motion. The new Michelin LTX Trail serves as the perfect fit for consumers, who own a pick-up or SUV and whose lifestyle demands the ability to reach on- and off-road destinations, for work or pleasure. This tire is designed for multi-purpose use, 80 percent on-road and 20 percent off-road driving. It gives drivers a safe and comfortable ride on the road, and still being able to take them off the road when needed; and has the ability to handle different types of terrain – ranging from city commuting, wet road, highway driving, to light and moderate off-road.”

The introduction of the Michelin LTX Trail comes at an opportune time for the tire brand since the SUV segment is expected to grow 5.6 percent year-on-year from 2021 to 2026. With fitments made for vehicles such as the Toyota Fortuner / Hilux, Mitsubishi Montero Sport / Strada, and Nissan Terra / Navara, they have pretty much covered the majority of the market.

The Michelin LTX Trail features three major advantages.

The first is that it lasts 41 percent longer thanks to its RallyForce2 Tread Compound. Developed from Michelin’s participation in various rallies, it provides better durability and maximum service life for both on- and off-road use. A new tread design with the Biting Shoulder also helps protect the tire against sidewall aggression ensuring better off-road performance and traction.

The second is long lasting safety, even when worn. With Variable Thickness Sipes that provide improved contact patch for better handling, grip, and braking performance, the Michelin LTX Trail can stop 3.1 meters shorter when new and 4.6 meters shorter when worn versus its competition.

Finally, its Duo-Harmony Blocks result in 19.8 percent lower sound pressure level versus other brands. The two block shapes in the tread’s center spreads the noise pattern across a wider spectrum for a quieter and calmer driving experience.

In the Philippines, the Michelin LTX Trail is now available at Michelin’s authorized dealers across the country in 15 sizes, with rim dimensions ranging between 15 to 18 inches.

  2. No matter how carefully you drive or how cautiously you choose your routes sooner or later you are going to have to replace your existing truck and trailer tires. If you are an owner operator then you know that this is a very costly event and you do need to take time to select just the right type, brand and design of tire that matches your typical driving experience. The type of tire that you use should be designed for your type of driving. https://www.cashstirerecycling.com/
